hi there! i want to dye my hair in a crazy color for the first time in my life :) how do i make sure the color remains how i want it? and do you know which color stays in my hair the longest? i am thinking about blue or purple.

Hey! Blue is definitely the colour that stays in hair the longest, in my experience. To help it last as long as you can, try washing it with cool or cold water, and try not to wash it with shampoo every day because that fades dye. You can use conditioner regularly, cos that actually helps dye last longer. I just recently did a video about how to dye your hair and make it last as long as you can actually! The hair dye story I have is, one time I dyed my hair bright easter egg pink, but it quickly faded to bright blond, and with short hair(which made me look like a boy before I dyed it) just absolutely looked terrible on me :( :( :(

grace lucas What's your natural hair colour? Did you bleach it before you dyed it? Shame it faded - pink's a great colour! I'm thinking of doing that when I'm done with blue-green!

grace lucas Ah I see, sometimes brown hair can be annoying when it comes to dye - it tends to warp either how it originally turns out, or how it fades! My natural hair is mousy brown, so it tends to make the dyes I use not quite come out how they're meant to, even when I bleach it, so perhaps we have similar hair!
