Hi, ich frag mich auch für was man trimix für 60 Meter brauch, erhöht nur die austauchzeiten um ein vielfaches. In der unterwasser Archäologie ist tauchen mit Pressluft bis 60 Meter Standard, ausgetaucht ( deko) wird mit nitrox. Auch Deep airdiving genannt glaube ich. Hatte glaub Bret Gilliam auch in seinem Buch erwähnt.

Great skills. A question: is there any particular reason why not directly switch 50% to 100% but instead the diver breathe back gas in between?

It’s easiest to completely stow one gas (reg) before moving to another. It reduces the risks when carrying multiple deco/stage tanks of using the wrong one. Breathing the wrong gas is the number one killer in tec diving so getting the correct ref at the correct time is critical.
