Blue Iris - Record Tab Basics

I just purchase a new license for version 5. When I look at your old version 4 video, there is not option for Create Alert list images when triggered? Do you know how I can set this up or where this feature might be hiding?

I've really liked your videos! Keep up the good work! I've not found anything else close on youtube which it explains things around Blue Iris. Love to see when you start to get to the more Advanced features going forward.

On the right side of the camera view the strip that shows the time clips, well that disappeared when I started up Blue iris today. I clicked around for about a hour to try to enable it but have not stumbled into what turns that on or off. I have used the program for 6 or 7 years and never had this happen.

You state in your video that "continuous" is 24/7 but if for instance if the profile for "Work Hours" is set for that time frame, would continuous recording only take place for that schedule for "Work Hours"?

I'm on continuous mode, but how to simply open and view what was recorded ?

I want to set my cameras up to were they record 24 7, but I want it to place tags were there were motion was triggered that way I can have 24 hour worth of recording and then I can go to a time stamp of when either something was moved stolen ect and I can go to all cameras in line of site to grab the shots to catch the persons or person trespassing and stealing. So I don't have to go though tones of snapshots to find what I"m looking for. What I do like is it can record when a item is moved and record when the item is being lifted I do like that so I might have to work on those settings.

I tried this everything passed but once I walk infront of the cam no alert is sent? I followed the video step by step. Adjusted my gmail settings as well passed there but no image is being sent..

After 8 days w v5 I find blue iris (Bi) is unbelievably complicated. Most users only ask for a couple of simple things>>> 1-Take a snapshot when triggered THEN 2-Record a video where the user has selected how long. DUH. Is that so hard? It sure is in Bi. A new Bi owner need to attend a 2 or 3 or more days long training class to master Bi. IN FACT, I have found that if a software developer is worth a sheet, his program will be user intuitive and NO training at all is necessary. One just reads the screen all func are in plain laymans english and easy to understand. not Bi. VERY frustrating. I am trying to remember, WHY did I pay for this POS program? !
