A true legend. Roy Halladay will go down as one of the greats. Growing up a Yankee fan, I always hated the thought of facing him, but that only helped me respect him more. RIP Roy Halladay

Alex James thanks for the respect! As a Jays fan I remember some great games between Yankees and Bluejays. I always HATED HAVING TO FACE JETER A ROD AND RIVERIA! (Apologies if i spelled his name wrong) Every damn time you saw Riveria come out you knew the game was over!

As a Yanks fan i will always remember him as a Blue Jay even though most of his great moments came from the Phillies. like him Troy Glaus, Vernon Wells, Aaron Hill, Lyle Overbay and Frank Thomas etc, etc really good line up there

I am from the Philadelphia area and it was a pleasure to have Halladay pitch for the Phillies. I will never forget his perfect game and no hitter in the playoffs. Halladay was an extraordinary man on and off the field and will be missed.

Was at this game and the tribute still brings tears every time I watch it. I only have one jersey and it's a retro powder blue with 32 on the back. Going to games knowing he was the starter was always an electric experience.

I'll miss Roy and I know I speak for all baseball fans when I say that MLB lost a great man and an amazing pitcher. RIP ROY you'll always be loved

I remember that as well, it bothers me as much as when people say Roy was "the only reason" to watch the Jays at the time. Really? Did you all forget about Delgado, Wells, O-Dog, Johnny Mac? The fact that we had a good, scrappy team that always competed hard against powerful Yankee and Red Sox teams despite being nowhere near as talented? The Jays bandwagoners irritate the hell out of me, hopefully if the team is poor this season they'll all fuck off and the real fans will be there again
