Who got that genius, totally extraordinary and extreme surprising idea to produce a Blues cover album „Blue & Lonsesome“ with the Rollling Stones?
No Rolling and no Stone, nobody in the world, but the producer of the Rolling Stones, as Mick Jagger revealed, without telling his name.
Gill Lyon on twitter:
Not a fan at all of The Rolling Stones & Mick Jagger hasn't improved with age - but what a lovely man he seems
NatashaDevonMBE
Mick Jagger = still hilarious at 473 years old. LOVING him
speedmonkeycouk
Mick Jagger on @BBCBreakfast sounds like someone doing an impression of Mick Jagger, plus extreme wrinkles.

3 days very well spent!! Jazzer & raccontuer George Melly once asked Mick about getting wrinkly. Jagger said these are LAUGHTER lines!! Melly replied- Mick! NOTHING'S that funny!! But watching this Jagger's made a good point, he clearly enjoys life enormously.

Great interview. She's not fazed by talking to a Rolling Stone, and she's asking sensible questions rather then the usual journo nonsense. A refreshing change, and I think Mick appreciated it too.

There will forever be the archives of recordings , Offspring with talent and cover bands , remix , remakes , Not to mention the influence of their music and legacy through which new music reflects . And so it continues , The Stones. The. Beatles , Michale Jackson , Elvis, Tom Petty, Johnny Cash , Prince,Ray Charles, Hank, Patsy ,Guns n fucking Roses , Run DMC and the Beastie Boys too,Just to name a few , Some of these talents still here , Some of these moved on , Their work as true artists lives on in song and memories, long after were all gone. We will never do without them , But What would we do without" Music" Rock n Roll , Classical, Country , Pop , Hip hop, Rap ,R&B ...Especially The Blues .

Charming the young ladies as ever, randy old goat haha !! I love how Mick's version of how this Album came about is slightly at odds. He says it "was sort of Don Was's idea". Both Keith & Ronnie insist they were hell bent on getting Mick blowing his Harp that night !! & the rest followed inevitably for the next day/night or two , to everybody's satisfaction ! Sounds amazing. But I still want some New stuff though please, both because I'm greedy & also know they can do it !

$ cannot be the greatest motivation but rather the Stones love of performing great great songs & music. As a high school kid in the early 70s my friends & I had some beers / pot & listened to their hits in an old travel trailer parked in the back yard. Bought it as a teen cave. Mick like Elvis just can't stay still while performing. Only songs I do not like are P I B & SFTD but I'm a believer in JC ..what do I know ? Yes I know.Seems the Rolling Stones will go on forever. Even if they are in wheel chairs I bet they still will do concerts. The very greatest band & love for life. Greatest music to give your soul a vacation without going on a vacation. They are very very famous rich talented but in their hearts still humble boyish & very young. As far as the "blues" "country" "pop" "rock" they still it all...guess like Elvis who sang it all, has one up on the Stones. Presley sang like 7 hrs of gospel songs. Eph. 6 is quite "Blues" (really good interview. Rolling Stones have "balls" in more ways than 1.)

Mick always seems happy and happy to give a different slant to some of the same questions and for non-English people he reminds us about what the English consider cringe-worthy, like being called an icon, and the instinct towards self-deprecation of the English but all that side of the English psychological mix, is it still there, among, say, people 50 years younger than Mick ? English millennials and younger might be generally less that way inclined .
