Blue Mascara Trick, Tips & Favs

I love blue mascara. It really brings out my brown eyes. I use the buxom blue noir. It's actually a dark blue so you really can't see the blue but I think the point is to give it a slight effect and bring out eyes, especially brown eyes.

I love the Benefit blue mascara shades that have come out in the past couple of years. My lashes are darker too, and the Benefit mascara is less deep in color, so the blue shows up better. I always get compliments when I wear it. When I was younger, Maybelline Great Lash was the only blue around. Today there are so many more available, but I still think the market is lacking in wearable colored mascaras.

I don't think I have left you a comment before but I enjoy your videos. I love that you showed the diff blues. I was pressured into getting the buxom blue at sephora and it was super water and even now that it dried some, it transfers constantly. I like the bad gal and dior show blues. :)

I wear the Maybelline royal blue on my bottom lashes almost every day. It gives such a pretty effect when you use a iridescent colored liner underneath the lash line as well.

I have coppery brown eyes and I like wearing blue eyeliners (like the Loreal HIP) but as liner, on top and bottom. I think it really brings out the brown eyes. So our tricks are similar!!!

Yellow mascara was actually my very first mascara. I got it when I was 12, so maybe it doesn't count? But I still loved it! I'll have to try that Maybelline one. That neon sort of blue looks so pretty.

I bought Golden Rose blue mascara from Amazon and I love it. I think black mascara is cold and arrogant, but blue mascara is warm and friendly. ☺️

I use a purple mascara cause I have brown eyes. I used the same concept you did to brighten my brown eyes. I tried using it as a regular mascara by coating my top lashes I didnt like the result, but I think I want to try the bottom lashes like you did, they look like they would better suite what I'm trying to go for

I think I great tip is to also put it on your lower lashes...it helps bring out your eye color in a subtle way :)

My ophthalmologist warned me about glittery mascaras and liners, because the glittery particles can dangerously scratch corneas. Please be careful if you use these products, especially when removing. Don't rub it off with too much force and drag it across the eye, because thats most often how those glitter particles can get in there and cause damage.

Electric Blue by NYX is very similar to the Great Lash you showed and it´s cheap and it shows great on the lashes too.

Physicians formula has a duo mascara with black on one side and blue on the other. I haven't tried it yet though so I don't know how it is.

smashbox makes a liquid liner that has teeth on the other side that u could use as a mascara, and it comes in a turquoise/ blue color

I have gray/blue/green eyes, and I'm not sure what color what look colors would look good on my eyes. If I do good colors for blue eyes, it doesn't really look that great with mine. Purples are probably best bet for me, so maybe I'll try out a purple mascara

If you don't wan't to go out and invest in colored mascare you can just apply black mascara and put some pigment over it. It works really well. If you really wan't the color to show up just use a white mascara underneath.

i love the gel eyeliner trick, ive been doing it for a while now. i have brown eyes and i use a medium purple liner on my bottom lashes, i love the way it makes my eyes pop but ill have to try blue sometime, thanks :)

@ayummykay I always do one right away while the first layer is wet! I find if you let it dry it becomes flaky and clumpy! Hope that helps!

Thank you sooo much for the tips! I just purchased the Marc Jacobs O!Mega Lash mascara in Think Ink (a beautiful cobalt blue color). I am definitely going to try using it on my lower lashes! Looks gorgeous on you. I might also do one coat of blue on my upper lashes and a second coat of black over it. Hoping maybe this will darken the blue to a deep navy! ❤️

@maricelyost at any drugstore, like rite aid, walgreens, and bartells. Even clothings stores such as target, walmart, kmart, etc. their usually...well actually always in the makeup section of the store, and you just look for a sign that says MAYBELLINE and all their products should be there, especially the mascara :)

@xXAlice4everXx I think that blue makes your whites look brighter and that is the whole idea behind putting blue pigments in lip products (for whiter teeth) and mascaras (whites of the eyes) :)

@MusicGirl6462 Really? Which Sephora did you see this in or what city is this Sephora located? I went to three Sephoras and none of them had Big Fatty Mascara in Flipside, only black. After that I went home and checked online and still only saw black. I knew the mascara isn't limited edition. But the color is suppose to be. Also what other colors do they have.
