Can you clarify covering arms and legs for women: do the entire arms down to the wrists need to be covered or just below the elbows? Also for legs is it below the knees or the entire leg? Can I wear say ankle pants? I want to make sure I am prepared and of course respectful.

What is the best time to visit and the worst time to visit?
@BeryIstanbulTips Жыл бұрын
Hi! As mentioned in the video, always keep an eye on the praying times which change every day. You can Google them. During those hrs, the mosque closes to visitors. Also Fridays opens late. I’d say, very early in the morning or late evening when most of tour groups are gone 🎉

i am very much looking forward to visit the blue mosque on our trip to Türkiye in September and October. When we were there in autumn 2021, it was in full renovation, and therefore not really worthwile. I bet it will different this time. I am however very sad to see, that Hagia Sophia, which should really be a church, but has been turned into a mosque, has now implented an entry fee for visitors. No place of worship should have an entry fee. It was been wrong in the first place to turn this church into a mosque, and its even more wrong, to make visitors (non muslims) to pay for entering it. Shame on you Mr. Erdogan !!!
