Hate me is about his Mother. I thought otherwise myself until I started to look into the band later on. If you like his music now, I truly recommend listening to it forever. Justin writes his own stuff. Most artists don't now. Everything he does is from the heart. He's had a pretty messed up life. Google it if you don't know. I didn't know at first. He's battled so much.
