Favorite band in the world. Justin is such an underrated lyricist. His lyrics hit me like nothing I’ve heard before

Justin is such a lovely soul. Many times his music has poignantly articulated pain I felt but didn’t know how to face. His level of authenticity is what we need more of in my humble opinion.

So awesome you guys did this. I first saw Blue October because a local band I liked in Austin, Tx was playing a free show (because they were not big enough to be able to sell tickets yet) and Blue October was the opening act. I have been in love with this band ever since. this was like 1997, they did not even have the first album out yet. This is by far my fav song by them.

We just saw Blue October at 5th Avenue, Mpls. MN in October 2019. They were on my husbands bucket list. Fabulous concert...Justin sings with every molecule of his being.

And they still use the violin. It is always a big part of their music.

Love this band so much and The Answers album is freaking amazing. I miss the violin in the last few albums, it was really something that grabbed me from the jump. I would recommend "Fear" as one of the newer songs that is absolutely amazing. Justin is in a happier place now, so he has a lot of songs about his relationship with his wife and kids (he is also sober now, so the darkness of Foiled and the anger of Any man in America are pretty much gone). I loved "Dirt Room" and "What if we could" (but seriously, I have 110 Blue October songs on my phone, and I love all of them). Thank you for the reaction, please do more!

I came to find Blue October from the song Hate Me. The lyrics hit me really hard. I was contemplating suicide. So in ways the song and band saved my life. When I was going through another downward spiral of depression the song Fear came out. That became my song to go to. And that was years ago. Now I don’t have suicidal thoughts or in a dark place, but if it wasn’t for Hate Me and Blue October I probably would be dead. I’m blessed to have met them to tell them how Fear saved my life. Though I don’t battle depression anymore, Fear is still my song to go to when Im dealing with anxiety.

I can see how lyrics can affect someone either positive or negative. That is great that it helped you in a positive way. And that you are still here todat.

Bowzer’s reaction Pit it can be depressing asf sometimes to listen to. And I’m sure I will get hate messages lol but it depends on what someone is going through. But I can say their new stuff I can’t relate to. But their dark stuff, oh I can be like wow this group knows exactly how I feel. But if you haven’t listened to all their stuff, please do. :)

Justin Furstenfield is the most emotionally raw musical artist I think I've ever encountered. His ability to just bare himself on a track is breathtaking. I'd love to see you do the entire Any Man in America album

Y'all need to do another song by king810 "I ain't going back again" it's about growing up dirt poor in Flint Michigan and the struggles they went thru. I grew up in Michigan and my brother is good friends with this guy. The message he speaks in his music is real.
