I’m not sure if you’ve tried them in the past but Limecrime’s Sea Witch (emerald) and Mystic (true blue) come out of the hair so easily. Went back to blonde without any issues.

What you said about the sunset hair in 2018 vs 2024 is exactly what happened to me with purple hair. Every ffffing time I dyed my hair purple I would end up going through something fffd up, so I became superstitious. Eventually I was like naaah I need to fix this issue so I did and it worked! I dyed it purple again and things went soooo perfect.

I was thinking of trying this with my pink /gray hair a couple weeks ago! I wound up putting a combo of dark red /purple on my roots since my ends are gray, and I honestly wish I would have left the red out and just waited for my turquoise to come in the mail. My roots were kind of a pastel/faded hot pink and the ends faded to a level 10 so I purple shampooed then, and it looked really cool! This made me excited for the red to fade again

Arctic Fox’s blue came out of my hair pretty easily! (Blue jean baby and Poseidon) I was impatient and eventually used Joico color eraser, it came out in 5 minutes!

I think the green in the turquoise dye cancelled out some of the pink so you were left with a bluish color. I think light blue/cyan would have given you that Barny purple. But it looks great, I love it!
