So now that you're not BOC virgins anymore, here's dominANCE AND SUBMISSION BY CLUE OYSTER CULT. lIVE VERSION OF COURSE i HATE THE boc STUDIO RECORDINGS COMPARED TO THE BALLSY LIVE SOUND THEY HAVE. aNYWAY i ALWAYS FELT THIS SONG TO BE ABOUT PEER PRESSURE. fEATURES ARE GREAT BASS & DRUMS, ERIC BLOOOM BELTING OUT SOME STANK FACE "SUBMISSION"S, AND ALL THE WAY AT THE END BUCKY BABY SHREDS SOME SERIOUS LEAD!

Yep. Studio version on this one, with the original vocalist, Albert Bouchard, always rocked it better. Especially Buck's closing solo.

Good job! Did you work on the first album too? Just asking because I was 17 and working at a little grocery store late one night in 1972 when I heard this hauntingly beautiful song come on the radio being played over the store's speaker system. It was my first time hearing BOC and as funny as it may sound, given their expansive catalog of music, to this day "She's As Beautiful s A Foot" is and will always be my favorite BOC song. P.S. Who's idea was it to redo "I'm on the Lamb, But I Ain't No Sheep" with a faster tempo and rename it "The Red & The Black"?

Go see them live if you can... One of the best live shows ever... Buck is unbelievable live... He is just shredding like mad and doesn't even sweat about it or need to look at the guitar.. he just stares at you like " yeah... I'm bad ass"

ETL (Extraterrestrial Live) was my very first BoC album, bought new when it came out, and it both instantly created my lasting love for the band's music and my appreciation for their live work. So much good stuff from this double live album.

Great live band...much their live stuff was better than the studio recordings, probably why their live albums where also some their most successful too, Some Enchanted Evening, On Your Feet Or On Your Knees, Extraterrestrial Live....was a time when there was a big market for live albums

Blue Oyster Cult, "Dominance and Submission.." was My Concert... Head Lined with BOC... Why Because of their Studio Albums.. My Memory of this concert in 1973..Lead Guitarest Donald "Buck" Dharma.. with myself being in the front row. Made eye contact with me thru out the performance... Memory I'll never forget.. 50 years ago

This live album hooked me on BOC forever .. they have been one of my top 3 favorite bands for 45 years ..I never get tired of them They are storytellers ,like the X- files set to killer music .. with an unassuming master guitarist Bucks vocals are ethereal and a bit unsettling .. Eric’s vocals are sinister and dark.. I love the blend and variety of both And a few Albert songs thrown in the mix too Love the album art especially the Cult concert going on in the gatefold

The studio version is great. The song is about (mostly) the British invasion that took over American airwaves in 1963. Dominance and Submission.

Great live band. Was at this show (1980). They also would play at The Chance as "Soft White Underbelly". Saw them one last time, last year. They still bring it!

I love this album and the performances on it, but if David’s not enjoying the studio versions, especially on the first three albums, he’s not a true BOC fan.

The studio can't compare with the audience participation in theis show. That's my favorite part. Their studio stuff is just too light for my taste.

This is still a very good recording of this song, but I don't think it's as good as the studio version. The mix is pretty muddy, and a lot of things I expected to be able to hear were just not there.
