This was broadcast on Chicago station, The Loop, on my 21st birthday, October 13, 1979. I threw a huge beer party-13 kegs of Michelob. The best part? I was 20 when I bought the beer! I had 2 concert speakers blasting this concert. I lived 45 miles east of Chitown. Every keg was drained dry by midnight. Oh, the memories. Thanks BOC and FM 98.

The first time I saw BOC was in 1982 at The Rose Bowl with Journey. They played in the early evening. The 2nd time was at Perkins Palace in 1983, which Really Kicked Ass!! Rick Downey was their drummer. Joe Bouchard totally rocked. We were right in front of him about 15 feet away at a table. He was really into it. The next time was at Long Beach Arena on November 30th, I think, that same year. That was amazing! Rainbow was co-headliner. They were a huge wall of sound and strobes ( and mirror skulls). Saw them in 1984, too. And several other times since then. They were one of the coolest live acts to check out.

This is one of the best performances of D&S I’ve ever heard. Same with ‘Cities On Flame’ it’s a shame about the vocal mic, but everyone else is KILLING it. I like the effects on Joe’s bass; that really adds to the heaviness of the sound. This might be my favourite ever Buck Dharma performance on this tune! P.S. Rainbow are amazing; seeing the two together must have been extraordinary.

Albert’s got the double-kick goin… Those effects-laden drum solos were AWESOME. You never see/hear stuff like that at concerts anymore. What happened to everyone?
