Blue Pool Bay | Gower Peninsulas best wild swimming spot

Blue Pool bay is a secluded but charming bay tucked away not he north west tip of the Gower. Its remoteness and lack of access make this one of the quietest beaches on the Peninsula.
The main feature of the bay is a large natural circular rock pool at the western end of the beach which is deep enough to jump into from the rocks above.
At low tide the pool is uncovered and is separated from the sea by the beach. At the west end of the bay is a natural rock arch, called the Blue Pool Arch or 3 Chimneys.

great video thanks for sharing. its a lot easier to get to the blue pool when the tide is going out you can just walk along the beach which is flat rather than walking up over the hill to get to it.

Hi Chris! Thanks for a great video, we visited the Blue Pool today. Amazing place! One thing to note for future travellers though, the car park was £5 and not free anymore - though maybe this is just something during daytime hours of summer months!

Hi Chris, fantastic video. I am in the process of planning a camper van trip, and wondered if this beach was easy to get to with a dog? Is the climb down the rocks too much for a dog to do?

It depends on how agile the dog is, if its quite nimble and happy navigating over a rocky surface it will probably handle it better than most humans can.
