Actually, it makes the game more balanced. Not everyone has the time to grind. I've played many PC and mobile MMOs. Take Dragon Raja, for example-it has the same feature, and we've enjoyed it for many years on both platforms. It's cross-platform, allowing you to switch between PC and mobile anytime.

I don't understand what people mean by games respecting your time. You get out of the game what you put into it. If you can't play much you shouldn't expect to be on the same pace as people that have nothing to do but grind all day. It just makes people that do have more time to play not able to do so by putting limitations like this in games. I feel stamina systems only make games feel less like games, and more like jobs, because then it makes it a routine. You have to do the same things for the exact same amount of time each day otherwise you just lose that progress and can't make up for it no matter what. If you decide not to do something for that day you just lose a day of progress. Instead of being able to put in double the effort the next day.

How is Tencent good news to any game? They kill their own games by feeding their newer games to the older games' audiences and have been doing it shamelessly for years. Check Arena of Valor -> Wild Rift (Tencent bought over 80% of shares from Riot Games, Riot slaving for them now) -> Honor of Kings global. This is just an example that's best familiar to me due to the genre. They are preying on their own games instead of maintaining them healthily.

Yeah, the limiting of entries in dungeons per day is clearly a mobile function that's bleeding into what used to be a PC mmo, but this can't really be helped, since if making a mobile version of the game will help it survive for long term, then these limitations are gonna be expected since the game is cross platform.

"indepth" talent trees, Lost Ark like power systems, highkey it doesnt sound bad at all, actually sounds very good, kinda hyped now that they rework the game and made it like a actually GOOD sounding game, what Tower of Fantasy should of been i guess lmao Gear/Weapon drops available from dungeons/raid content is dope but having them daily capped is stupid. the gacha may be gone permanently from blue protocol cause china changed its stance on that stuff in recent years good riddance if you ask me but people do have the fear that what that would mean is heavy micro transactions and possible pay to win elements would be a slow and painful death but a death none-the-less. at the end of the day though people just want a decent game to play which offers them time to kill on the type of stuff they love doing in an online atmosphere and rpg setting.

I'm at "cautious optimism". I saw this on the BP Discord a few days ago and was thrilled to read it, but as you said, there's ways the CN devs could really mess it up. The monetization will be key here, especially when there's a stamina system.. the gacha on the surface is already better than the horrible JP version, but ofc we lack a ton of details. Still, Amazon Games won't be in the loop, which is a big positive, and we might actually see this game next year in the West, which would be awesome. Wait and see I guess.. as BP followers, we are **very** used to that, at this point, lol.

My conspiracy here was, Tencent was close on finishing the game(afaik tencent were already developing BP mobile during the Blue Protocol JP release), and they may not want to have Amazon the PC release and the market share for the IP, because Tencent can develop cross platform game(PC/Mobile) so they probably offered something to BandaiNamco to cancel their own PC version. 🙄

@@aeden8008 no it was confirmed that is was all on bandai/namco, amazon was ready to push release (albeit they tried to force censorship which created a shock across the global audience which then forced them to change their stance lmao) but yea bandai/namco felt like everything had to meet perfect standards by japanese business models or else it wouldn't work whatsoever its pretty typical for those of a "old" mindset compared to those with more progressive and future related ideas. that and their producer, director, and community manager had no business whatsoever trying to run a game of this magnitude cause they had no experience whatsoever with mmo/online action rpg titles/games. so its likely behind scenes there were alot of shouting matches going on lol meanwhile their investors probably threatened to withdraw their funding if they didn't deliver returns etc. and thus does it bring us to our conlusion here that Tencent probably paid a massive amount of cash or dividends to claim the rights and ownership of blue protocol an bandai agreed to it so they could pay of their debt most likely.

Disappointed it's a mobile game setup. Mobile mmos are actually co op games. When mmos are placed on the mobile platform they don't feel like the genuine article. Aside from this I will still give it a chance but only because I've been wanting to play and experience the game. Glad to see someone had some sense to finally launch it!! My takes in this: - This gonna be ToF + WuWa in terms of gameplay and mechanics due to it being fast-paced. Genshin is in the slower side. - Nikana mains will be the majority of the players. - Damn. One character per account? That's gonna be a pain to switch account just to use another character because my main will definitely be a girl. She's either gonna be a calm white-haired Ice mage or a fiery hot headed redhead Qinglan Knight or Tank. - There's definitely gonna be class advancements with the talent tree branching out. - Gacha for costumes? Sure, why not? - I definitely love complex mechanics for Dungeon bosses. I don't want the "dodge this very obvious telegraphed attack 3x". - There will definitely be the usual "Is there a pvp in this game?" or "Please add pvp" players in the future ad nauseum. - Minimum contribution for rewards for Raids is definitely a huge plus. It's gonna at least discourage leechers to just sit from afar and watch. - Rolls for loot? That's gonna be bad ngl since it's gonna be purely RNG. I've had enough of that in Dragon Nest when I played years ago. - Really? Energy? Damn. I forgot that Tencent partially funded it and to comply with the Chinese' gaming law, their games should have some kind of stamina system. - I hate fishing in games.

It overall sounds nice, but one thing I am really worried about is the bullet point about the auction house. "You can also trade it for bound Rose Orbs (premium currency) listed by other players." Does this mean that if you buy the premium currency, you can just buy gear on the auction house? If so, that is very worrying.

I'm hopeful this version will be better than the original release. I don't expect it to be better... but I can hope.

Blue Protocol already failed in Japan, so I think Tencent is literally the only hope for this game. At this point I wouldn't even complain anymore, because there wouldn't be any game without them. So just lets see how it works out. I think their recent games are actually quite solid and enjoyable.

This seems interesting, I've patiently waited for this game to come out, I'll wait again for this one. Expectation is still slim though do to the slap in the face by (no surprised) Amazon and (unfortunately) Bandai.

A lot of these system were/are present in Lost Ark but also in Blade & Soul. We will see with what we gonna end up with but i keeping my hopes and hype in check because... well... Tencent :)

Tencent really did the let them do all the work and spend all the money, then swoop in and yoink it probably got it discounted to.
