【BLUE REFLECTION SUN/燦】| JP CBT | First Impressions

Hey everyone!
I ended up receiving my email for the closed beta test and I finally got to experience the game firsthand.
I already had my expectations set going into this game based off of everything that we've seen thus far and truly did not disappoint!
If there's anything that I didn't cover or anything else you'd like to know about the CBT please let me know in the comments below!

I LOVE the Blue Reflection series so much! I've played both video games, as well as watched the anime and I am DEEPLY invested in these girls and their stories!
I highly recommend anyone to try them out if you haven't already. Especially if you like anything to do with magical girls!

I also love the series and one of the CB testers too. I agree with most of your points. Despite certain backlash from the community, I think the game so far meets my expectation. It has good visuals and sounds, and the story is alright (so far, even with the male MC), but the UI definitely needs more work, battle animation also feels clunky and simple, somewhat outdated even. And though on high/extreme high quality, frame rates do stutter and heat up my phone. But since this is still in CBT, I hope everything will turn around for the better in the future!

Hmmm I see. Definitely the backlash has been “interesting” to say the least from the community. I definitely can understand points about the UI and the animations being on the more simple side of things. I believe I was playing on the highest graphic setting in my phone as well (iPhone 13 pro max). I felt like the only stuttering I experienced was something switching between sections of the game and then of course the Main / assist skill animation startups. And likewise, I hope they do some polishing before release but it’s definitely been a positive experience so far. I wish I could actually understand the story though. Lol that’s the only thing I need to have a better experience. I was just kinda “assuming” what’s happening based off of reactions of the characters and like the very minimal Japanese phrases I can pick up on haha

Didnt apply to the lottery but Im liking it so far. Just curious how the story fills in the gap before tie. Other than that I love the version of blue reflection (song) in the title screen and the battle theme. Its a gacha game so Im not looking for anything mind blowning. I pray hinako becomes pullable and playable later on in its span.

Very little. I’ve said that before in my videos. However, not knowing the language doesn’t deter me from enjoying the story (based off of what I’m seeing / what little Japanese I can understand) and the overall gameplay. I’m having a great time as a fan of the series. That’s all that matters. 💙. it’s okay if others feel differently. Their opinions are valid too.
