There's someone that did a short film of one of the engines based here (annie)-i think it's gandydancer productions, about the last privately owned steam railway. The film is called the day Stan left and is well worth a watch for anyone interested in industrial steam, or just steam in general

That's another interesting railway I have never been to before, looks a great little railway. It operates in a very similar way to The Telford Steam Railway as their line consists of a short run from one siding station which goes onto what will at some stage be the main line of that railway, through a tunnel to the terminus station. The train then reverses back down through the tunnel continues past the siding station it started at and then stops at one of the original stations on the line. Just to let people know in the first week of April the Severn Valley Railway are hosting The Open House Weekend where people can take a look behind the scenes of some parts of the railway that aren't always open to the public, at Bewdley we will may have our shed open on Saturday where people can see a LNER teak coach being restored.

In the UK boilers are certified to have a ten year operational period. There are annual check ups, but after that ten year, a full strip down and rebuild is required.

ph can be pronounced f in a few situations. Sulphate is one example, I believe American's spell it sulfate. Sulphur (again, English spelling), etc is the same, although I think it might have changed to the US spelling here now too, or one of them anyway. It seemed to change spelling while I was learning chemistry in school, I learned to spell everything sulphur related with 'ph' at GCSE then it seemed to become replaced with 'f' by A level, (or maybe that was just a school textbook thing, old books being replaced when 2 schools joined at that time).
