First bet with the water in the car is to check the drains from under the windscreen/top of the bonnet inside the engine bay. If they get blocked it forces water in. After that it's door drains (inside edge of the bottom of the doors) . You can usually tell if it's these as you will hear sloshing when opening the doors. Then door seals. Also If the car is on a slope, try parking it pouring the other way round. Sounds silly. But depending how the water drains off the car may give clues as to where it comes in.

I can't imagine a lovelier way to while away an hour or so than to join you for "coffee on the porch with Carissa" (and Iwan?). Gazing over that painterly landscape, watching the birds go about their day while Diogo bounds joyously down the path and Frankie sashays over to sit by your side, with the kitties chasing imaginary prey in the garden. ✨💖✨ Regarding those deadly caterpillars, do you think your neighbour would object if Iwan were to paint that sticky stuff on the trunks of the afflicted trees that catches the caterpillars as they crawl down? Surely he couldn't object to your wanting to protect your land from such deadly invaders.

We have the tail end of storm Ivo this weekend in uk! Seems that all of Europe are being drenched and battered with storms this year! Love the way when you start a job each of the animals in turn lime to come and inspect your progress, they really do want to see what you’re up to! Another beautiful calm video, it’s always a pleasure to sit down and pause the day to see what you are all up to! Hope for drier weather for next week for us all, think we’re all itching to get out into our gardens and get started with preparations ready for the planting season! ❤

Enjoyed your video again today. Seems like the rain is doing more than make your land boggy! We have almost the small model of car as you have and we had a similiar problem with water in the front wells. Below your windscreen, when you open the bonnet, you'll see two little holes in the plastic at either end . These can block with leaves and seed pods etc. and then the water can't drain away from the screen. Also the pipe that runs down from these holes can block too. (The water normally runs out behind the wheel arches.) If you take a reasonably stiff, but flexible piece of wire, you can normally push any debris out, but do take care not to damage the tubing. Think this will solve your problem.

Exactly what we do every saturday. Have coffee watching your channel. With all that rain, have a look at rain gardens and how they could work for your homestead. Also look at Kongjian Yu's sponge cities, and how to work with water and not against it. I love how he says one must play tai chi with water and not box it. ❤

Hi Carissa and Ewan, lovely calming video again, thanks.🙏🏼 I’m sure you’re aware that each species of bird has a specific entry hole size, to protect the birds and ensure there’s no interlopers claiming their space. I found the correct size online, which is 25mm, and it’s really smart to purchase a matching size metal plate made to protect the wood so that predators can’t naw on it to break in.

A great solution to the catepillars guys. Worth looking at other pests and finding out how to provide habitat to welcome the predators. I think many of your flowers will be helping there too ❤ Beautiful, mindful coffee ritual 😊 Looks like Diogo found a new spring for you to guide where you want 😂 is it near veggie patch or the orchard? Love the bird and plant labels, much appreciated for someone far distant to these. OMG i just want to smoosh Diogo, he is so adorable 😂❤ The amount of water is incredible. Climate certainly unreliable these days, but good opportunity to know where it flows and be able to make drains to guide where its best suited. Maybe consider hiring a ditch digger in summer, but mark it out now? That mimosa is glorious (and painful) 😅 As always beautiful clips.

Well folks.....now that you've had a bit of rain, it will be warming up for you soon enough, and with that happening, your grass will begin to grow again - just as mine is right now, but for me, it is already 'nice and warm' here, and I can see the grass growing as I type this...LOL. But seriously, with your climate, it will be all to soon and it will be hot and dry again, and you'll be wanting every drop of water for your yard, so getting a good supply now is welcome. I saw that you'd had a storm when I was watching Bee & Theo (the Indie Projects, as well as Nick & Ang (Project Portugal) and Laura & Dan (The Origin Homestead). I love watching your vids....and as you started this one it appeared as though a certain little Black Doggie was assessing where to dig his next hole to relocate some ones socks.......... RIght....grass is growing - I must shorten it, and remove some weeds from my garden. Never ending.

Hi Iwan my husband advises to check the drainage gully at bottom of windscreen if it is holding water then clear the drainage holes as this could be why you have the water in the compartment as thewaterwill have drsined into the car ..hope this works 😊😊
@JadjaVanParghove44411119 сағат бұрын
About the water in the car, it could be stuffed up( with leafs) gutter from the roof into under the hood of the car. It goes right into the car itself when it' s blocked up with leafs. I've had that in my car. You've to ask a car mechanic how to clear that. But get the water out asp😉👍

happened to me too, a big slosh of water over my feet! In the drain channel under the windscreen there are two rubber flaps, they got blocked up. They were hard to see. But when I remember to clean that channel, especially in autumn and after storms, I stay dry, lol!

Hi Iwan & Carissa, thinking about the car, could the water come from condensation? When I got rid of my car last year - the rear footwell was full of water. Just a thought, I am no expert either. First place to check is the drains in the wiper scuttle area. The get blocked with leaf debris and rising water can get into the cabin. You may as well pull carpet up anyway and that should reveal what is underneath. The passenger side has a big R2 plug that corrodes when it gets wet and causes all sorts of issues generally at the back end of the car.
@NALLEPUH1310 сағат бұрын
Also parking the car with the front downwards helps the drains "work" if you like.. noticing you have the front slightly higher parked reversed in on your driveway

I'd say you are definitely in need of digging out your stream/waterway/trench/ditch. When putting out laundry, doing some gardening, or building anything, it is sure to rain. As I've said before, "If you want to hear God laugh, tell him you have plans."

Hola from Spain. The owner of the Pine trees needs to be responsible, the Caterpillars will soon be dropping & are lethal. One of our dogs had lost half his tongue when we rescued him. I really enjoy your relaxing videos thank you for sharing. I just looked up what processionary caterpillars can do to pets. Terrible things and they are a danger to animals other than dogs too! We have tent caterpillars here in Canada that can denude a forest with an infestation and make roads slippery but they are nothing like the ones you have. I hope lots of blue tits make their home near you!
