Blue Tweed 3 Seat Rosewood Sofa "Monte Carlo" by Ingvar Stockum, Sweden, 1965.

Just in from our restoration team and upholsterer is this wonderful three seat sofa by the Swedish designer Ingvar Stockum. Dated to 1965 and sold under model name "Monte Carlo", this sofa is exquisite and a flagship item in our store. Our restoration team has done a wonderful job bringing the rosewood frame back to life as the frames were in need of a strip, sand and polish. The previous material on the sofa was very worn and the foam was dry and brittle, we have completely replaced the foam and a new high quality fabric that ensures durability and longevity to this sofa. It served its previous owner very well for 55+ years, now it is ready for its new owner, ready to be delivered or shipped anywhere in the world immediately.
A bit of trivia in regards to this sofa and what makes this sofa a bit more interesting is that the production line for this sofa only lasted 2 years due to production costs being so high they had to discontinue it. Rosewood was very expensive at the time due to popularity and this sofa required a lot of it in the production.
