Nice to see this tour of Avocet, your lovely yacht Chris & Marissa! The hard work that you both have put in is, of course, only partially visible 😁 (ALL of those weeks and months of what seemed endless projects hey!) All the best ahead with your sailing and new mountain lives!

I also love Jay & Kenna's Cheoy Lee. Thank you for the video, Kudo's to both of you for a great job on the boat and look forward to more videos. Be safe.....

Great boat tour Marissa. I've been wanting to see the ins and outs of this beautiful boat for some time. Well done! And Chris, man, you are so good with your hands. I guess now you are over all the hassles with the engine and the boat is back together, it is so nice to sit back and revel at your handy work. You should be proud of your achievements, because they are what most men strive for. Beautiful work Mate! Also Marissa, thank you for all the hard work on the videos too. You add the pizzas to them. Oh, and I guess seeing all the other young KZbin sailing couples are expanding their crew numbers, I guess the question is, when are you guys going to bring on board a permanent new (mini) crew member?

Looks so wonderful doesn't it? It's not. Extremely complex variety of systems and details. Things break all the time. Nothing is square. Access is always limited by tight spaces, you have to move something to get to something all the time. Maddening. It will all eventually drive you bonkers. Can't shower inside because of moisture and mildew. Constant corrosion from salt air. It just goes on and on.
@sailingavocet5 ай бұрын
I bet you’re fun at parties. It’s not that complex if you have a brain. Access is not always limited, and you definitely do not need to move something to get to something “all the time”. We shower inside all the time, and have never had an issue with moisture or mildew because it’s properly ventilated. What a strange, negative comment. Have fun being the stick in the mud you angry, angry man.

Interesting comment… They are not built to a low standard, in fact many (like ours) are overbuilt and many are built to Lloyds standards. Cheoy Lee started as a family business, and many of the boats had host families that oversaw the completion of each vessel which is why many have dragons carved into the forepeak. Here’s some more history: www.cheoyleeassociation.com/WebMisc/LLoyds.htm
