I got introduced to BOC in 1974 while serving in the military. I was immediately amazed at the awesome musicians and to date, they are and will always be my favorite. There's nobody like Buck Dharma on lead guitar, causes total goosebumps every time I listen.

I have to agree with your comment. I was also introduced in the military in 1977. I have heard it said that Buck Dharma and BOC are considered as pioneers as well as founding artists of the Heavy Metal Genre. I find the music exciting and I completely agree about goosebumps. Buck's guitar is so clean clear and complex. Like other great musicians , he has his own style that is easily recognized. Blue Oyster Cult are legends with the writing, they send me and my imagination to the highest of highs, in other words I dig them the most. Thank you for your service. Best regards, Mlke

Saw these guys perform this song live last night and they were every bit as good as this! It goes to show you're never too old to Rock n Roll! Few bands last as long and still play as good as ever. No A.I. No backing tracks. No lip syncing. They still keep it raw and dirty, like Rock should be. I don't even care for ballads, and this isn't even my favorite song by BOC, but seeing this song live blew me away!

Rush opened for them. Man, that must have been... I can't even imagine! I was 10 back then, and was listening to my parents' Nana Mouskouri albums! Imagine, real musicians with no auto-tune, no clicktrack, no mumble-rap, no drip-hop, no dropping the wub-dubs. I was privileged to finally catch BÖC in August 2018. They dedicated "Don't Fear The Reaper" to Aretha Franklin, who had died the week before, and "The Last Days Of May" was the showstopper.

Storytime: You all will laugh at me,but the first time I saw BOC was back in the summer of 1998 I had just turned twenty years old and I had just got into their music three years prior thanks to a low budget raunchy teen stoner comedy movie called The Stoned Age,well anyway back to the summer of 98 I heard on the Classic Rock station that Blue Oyster Cult was coming to town and I called up my well now former best friend, long story and we heard the local record shop in town was selling the tickets we arrived and were sold the first two tickets. Yes,you read right one and two so two weeks later I get home from work the day of the show I hop in the shower and get dressed the concert did not start until 9 pm but we arrived two hours early at the club they were playing in Fort Myers Florida we arrived while they were doing soundcheck and one of the DJs from the local Rock station was there giving away t shirts, hats and bumper stickers he let me and my friend in the club while BOC was doing soundcheck and minutes later who comes out the front door? Danny Miranda,Buck Dharma,Allen Lanier,Bobbie Rondinelli and we got to meet them and they were parked next to my car so by 7pm the crowd shows up we were the first ones there like The Grizwolds at Walley World and by 8pm the doors opened and 9pm BOC took the stage and kicked ass for two and a half hours and rocked us,I couldn't tell if it was the 70s,80s or 90s they on the Heaven Forbid tour at the time. What an experience that was.
