I have been trying to import the markups from the diff file into the overlay pdf and all the markups come in rotated. Is there a way to fix that? The markups come in just fine on the Ref PDF. They come in rotated only on the overlay PDF for some reason.
@UChapter26 жыл бұрын
Anup Reddy Shabad there are two different ways to rotate pages in your document. Look into how both of these documents were created.

Would the import function work to transfer my markups from an old to new revision?
@UChapter25 жыл бұрын
Niall Rutledge absolutely. You can import from any document. Also if you use Sets you can slip sheet revisions and have the markups transfer automatically. Thanks for reaching out!

Great quick tip. Doesn't work so hot with scans.

Joe Hanika scans do make things more difficult. You may get better results if you use the “pick points” to better align them to each other.

Hi, when i import the comparison PDF into the overlay it comes in rotated counterclockwise 90. but if i take that same comparison file and inserted into the individual files that i used for my overlay it falls right in place. is there a setting when creating the overlay that it is possibly rotating the output of the overlay file? all the documents used were created the same and rotating was never used for the sheets as you mentioned to Anup Reddy Shabad in the comments below.

Without seeing everything and how they were created, its hard to say what the issue might be. Having the sheet somehow rotated incorrectly is the only thing I can think of off hand. Sorry I could be more help.

How did you get the cursor tracer on bluebeam?
@UChapter24 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what you mean by "tracer" Shawn. if you mean the Crosshairs with the full like top to bottom, left to right, that in under Revu>Preferences>General "Show Full-Screen Crosshairs" Hope that helps, keep me posted!

what if one document has more pages than the other. is there any way to for bluebeam to recognize that and overlay accordingly?
@UChapter26 жыл бұрын
C Flux if you are comparing several sheets I would suggest using the batch functionality in the eXtreme version. Thanks for checking out my video, let me know there are other topics you’d like to learn more about.

@BluebeamAndBurgers, i appreciate you putting it out there. It certainly helps a lot. unfortunately my work doesnt support the extreme version but ill see if i can push them. Regardless of that, i did find out that if you do batch overlay and set it to scan for a Page Region and set it to the page number or page title, then it will try to match up those which is a near success. The downside ive found is that besides it not being perfect, which is okay, ive found that if one file has 140+ sheets, and the file youre comparing it to has 160+ sheets, the differing 20 or so sheets will be removed from the resulting file and then you will have to slip sheet them in at the end....Maybe Extreme has a solution to that? Regardless, thanks for the video! if i find a better solution, ill let you know.

Is this from a dwg or from pdf?

The mouse icon you are using to enhance the cursor is a bit distracting. Maybe remove for future videos?

Thanks for the feedback Alison, I'll keep this in mind and possible reduce my use.
