I love these towels. I’ve made several batches of them and have given some as gifts. I’m an American living in Germany where waffle dishcloths seem rare. When I first found this pattern, I was on a hunt for a waffle dishcloths pattern. I’m so in love with this. It is just perfect. Thank you.

I have woven this pattern 4 times now. This is my go to pattern for my dishcloths. I just love it. I am so happy you posted it. They have a nice texture and great color patterning. I substitute another Color and alternate where you would have the caterpillar, so using white, with two other colors. They come out very pretty. I will be weaving my 5th set of towels as soon as my new spool of cotton arrives!

U 1 pick N/puU 1 pick U 1 pick D 1 pick U 1 pick N/puU 1 pick U 1 pick D 1 pick U 1 pick N/puU 1 pick U 1 pick D 1 pick : continue in pattern to towel length, end with 10 picks up/down, 1 1/2” 8:2 cotton for hem again.

Really interesting warping method!

Complicated, don't you think? There are easier ways....

I thought the idea of weaving each color all at once made sense, less errors.

I wish you would have shown the warping peg. When you do one color at a time, I guess everything gets sorted out when you cut the loops and slay? Just seemed like everything would be out of order on the peg.

@@mastinomama8939yeah, don’t do it this way because the crossed warp is a killer! Just direct warp it.
@pamyclark12634 ай бұрын
@@liza5532there’s a lot of cross over which becomes a BIG problem with tension problems making it miserable!
