2025 Propane Demo Tour

We got like 6 or so inches of snow yesterday. Whenever school restarts I would imagine these mechanics here cold starting all these busses. Half of busses are IC's and the other half are C2's. Maybe some Bluebirds too.

That's a very nice bus What are the advantages/disadvantages of propane? I would assume if the infrastructure is in place for fueling then fuel cost savings? What kind of range does it have? Sorry so many questions

Infrastructure would vary from state to area. Propane typically gets approximately 4mpg and the tank is either 60 or 100 gallon. So a range of about 240-400 depending on tank size.

My personal opinion: I’m not sure how I feel on propane because they already have the gas alternative to the diesel. I could be wrong here but I always thought gas burned much cleaner than propane.

Propane does burn cleaner than gasoline but it’s way less efficient, these particular buses get around 3-4mpg, while the gasoline ones would get around 5mpg and our diesels get 8-9mpg. They also don’t get the power that you would like

Kentucky won’t allow gas powered buses, yet propane is allowed. Tell me how that makes sense???

Why would you need a front facing camera, when you can just look out the window? Unless its recording, but still, look out the windshield.

That would be a great bus to have the fleet just except for the propane they can make it a regular gasoline. I’m sure my school district will buy 100 of them.

I never knew buses ride of leaf spring. My school district only but from the IC factory in Tulsa Oklahoma with air ride and no AC on that bus is crazy

Is bus 12 a spare bus this year have you considered bluebird gasoline? How many C2 do you have?

I still ride a 2002 bluebird as regular but the newest bus iv seen is a 2026 bluebird 47-26

Propane is not cheap , I had a fleet of trucks and went back to diesel
