In larger markets there is more focus on lucrativeness with more seats, fortunately in Uruguay we have the best 1800 DD, the companies that travel from the North to the capital of the country (Montevideo) in the South of the country, the majority leave around midnight , to the capital it is a 6 to 7 hour trip, both downstairs and upstairs, the configuration of three individual rows, two lateral and one central, and all seats are beds (like the ones in this report) you manage to reach your destination Well rested to start the day. There are also options from other manufacturers in the region such as Busscar and Comil that are gradually reaching a level of excellence in their products such as Marcopolo. Proud to say that in Latin America we have the best and most comfortable road transport vehicles.

I drove for Greyhound for 43 years, and I have never taken a tour of a four axle highway coach. I'm eager to get into this video! OK, I am the part where he talks about the mirror short comings. I do not like driving a coach with blind spots, so that would be a sticking point for me. Modern coaches do not need to have any blind spots, and I did a booklet on our Greyhound safety mirrors. Where I drove out of, all our mirrors were mounted low, down where the action and cars and bicycles are. I showed in my booklet that there were no blind spots to the right or to the left, which is the way it should be. In this Marco Polo he said he could not see the convex properly. That is under the heading "OOP!" Mounting mirrors up high looks real cool, but if it infringes on safety, it is a no, no. Alright. I just watched the whole video. I loved the luxury seating area that came complete with refreshments etc. All around it looks like a very nice coach, and passengers will love it! Drive safe everybody!

@rifkyfahrana11414 ай бұрын
i don't think it's THAT necessary. there's a lot of 15m city buses with 3 axles in South America. but 4 Axles provide better weight distributions in certain cases. in this case, the bus would likely to be loaded near GVWR more often on a longer trips than its 3 axle counterparts. it's just to make sure the vehicle is more than capable of handling heavy loads

So, the reason for not being sold in Europe is the width of the vehicle, right? Didn't know about this. Also it is significantly higher than most buses here. We see buses up to 4.1 meters (4 in most cases) whereas this thing has 4.25 if I am not wrong. These dimensions are "no go" for regulations I suppose.

I think UK and Sweden can handle it, it not the rest of Europe

As far as I am aware, UK uses the same maximums as EU. The UK did leave the EU but still continues to adhere to many commonalities. So 2m55 width and 4m height is the limit for trucks and coaches. An exception is made for refrigerated trailers on trucks to allow for the extra width of insulation, but to give the same interior width as a dry trailer.
@snn62622 ай бұрын
In the EU 4 meters is the maximum. 4.1 m busses not exist as these would not be road legal.
@DoktorLorenz2 күн бұрын
@@Rasscasse buses in UK have a max height of 15 feet but most I've driven were 14ft3in or 14ft6in in height because they can go through more low bridges in city centre streets. Godt spørsmål. Vi tester kjøretøy. Forholder oss sjeldent til priser. Hadde nok konkurrert med de dobbeltdekkerene vi allerede har her i Europa

What is Marcopolo website and why did you not list it?

We never lost websites in our video. Totally irrelevant for the product we’re testing. Google it. Not hard to find

But it's a bus. BTW the UK have double deck busses like these on the roads. Do their drivers have issues with turning.

You repeated the intro 3 times and it took 8:00 minutes to get to an interior shot. Terrible waste of time.. Seems your camera can only pan left as well. One and Done.
