If you're really interested in hunting this thing there's a method of corrupting your game's save data that I'm currently using to hunt the wishmkr jirachi. I don't know for sure but I assume it'll also work for this. It's not rng manipulation or anything so it's still 1/8192 odds, but it cuts the reset time down to roughly 1 minute. The only problem is if you mess it up you run the risk of not being able to hunt jirachi on the save file anymore or just straight up deleting your save file, but if you have a way to back up/restore your save it shouldn't be an issue. There's a tutorial on how to do the save corruption by the domiNATION. (I would also recommend checking the comments on that video as there's a few ways to cut down the reset time that he doesn't cover)
@ModestNeko2 жыл бұрын
@@kevincross709 I saw that video actually. I knew the risk of it deleting the save file but not being able to hunt it on it? Like, you delete the save file and it's fine on a new save on the same cartriage right? Apparently the odds are actually like 1 in 7,000 something. I did like 10 game resets for it before taking a break for now lol. That was before I saw the corruption method. Thank God for that as I keep getting destroyed by my rival from RNG *cries*
@kevincross7092 жыл бұрын
@@ModestNeko When I said you can't hunt it on the save file anymore I was talking about corrupting the data but the you still having the jirachi, so if that happens yes, your cartridge if fine you just have to reset the save. Also I think I've heard about the ~1/7000 odds. I'm not sure if that's true but even if it is I'm almost certain it's just a quirk of the colosseum bonus disc and doesn't have anything to do with the save corruption.

One thing hilarious with Diglett and Dugtrio is that you can legitimately have them use Fly in the Pokémon Stadium games via Mimic, and since they can learn Aerial Ace for some reason, they can use Supersonic Skystrike in the Alola games. Aerial Ace is one of those 'lost in translation' things. The move name in Japanese is "Swallow Return" and is based on folklore of a legendary swordsman, Sasaki Kojirō, who had a technique called the "Swallow Cut." The move never actually requires flying, but reputedly resembles a swallow's tail in flight, so that's probably why it got the Flying-type designation.

Maybe legendary/mythic pokemon are designed before their chosen to be event mythic pokemon. So for example, they initially designed Jirachi like any other pokemon, like a evolution of Chimco that can be obtained in the wild and it would come with a star piece. But late in development they realized it's their most charismatic well designed cute pokemon that can work as a legendary.
@kevinr.97332 жыл бұрын
That would almost make sense if it had a Star Piece in R/S/E, but not so much for HG/SS, by which time it's mythical status was well defined. -And given that Jirachi has identical base stats to Mew and Celebi, the previous generations' mythical Pokémon, it seems likely that they knew exactly what they were planning to do with it when they designed it.-

For wishmaker jirachi, you can actually corrupt your save data at a specific point in a new save file and be able to simply load a prior save due to the corruption from before obtaining the jirachi. this is an oversimplification of how it works, but I imagine that something similar could be thought out for pokemon channel jirachi. that would make hunting it much easier.

I do have everything needed to get that Jirachi... I think there's technically also an exploit that allows you to reset so that the game forgets that you ever got the Jirachi, making it as if you didn't save, but it's very risky and can result in a lost save file if done incorrectly so like... yeah. That's also how people typically hunt for the Wishmaker Jirachi that comes with the Colosseum bonus disc, however that one doesn't require you to beat the league, you can just get it whenever, as soon as you have the Pokédex, so if you lose your save file while hunting for that one, it'll only set you back a couple minutes, and not like 4 hours.

To explain further: The anime is not real, in the literal sense. It's based off of Ash/Red's journey. In RBY, you are playing the events of Ash's journey that the anime bases how the story went. In GSC, you are playing as a new person who theoretically is keeping up with the anime and Ash, because you run into Red at the end of the game. We know that the game starts off with your rival as "???", so if that were the case that your character didn't recognize Red from the anime, when you battle him he would also be ???. So the anime is not literally real, it's a rendition of the events that Ash went through.

Funny enough for a while in Pokemon GO when you evolved diglett into dugtrio, it would rise into the air like every other pokemon and you can see the flat bottom part of ground. However this got fixed I think kinda recently so now when you evolve diglett in GO, it is the only Pokemon to remain on the ground. Also for the Pokemon Channel Jirachi, similar to the Colosseum Bonus Disc Jirachi, you might not have to play through the entire ruby and sapphire game each time to get an encounter with it. There is a way you can corrupt your save file to load up the backup save for your ruby or sapphire game and you can load the backup save before you received the jirachi in game. However this is a chance this just deletes your save file or the backup save is simply after you received jirachi so Idk if going for that would be worth it either way 😂

Props for the music you use: Deus Ex, Guille's Theme... They add a layer of mistery/epicness that those obscure useless facts shouldn't have, I love it

huge fan of the glitches shown in this vid keep em comin pheeen 😎👍

If you try to shiny hunt the Pokemon Channel Jirachi and you average 1 encounter per day (literally a full time job), and assuming you have the worst luck in the world and need to go for the full 8192 tries, it'd take a little over 22 years...
@Abrude_2 жыл бұрын
It would take roughly 3.7 years to get a guaranteed shiny Jirachi, If anyone is willing enough to do that, I'd be 100% down to follow them throughout the whole journey
@IntenseReality.2 жыл бұрын
for the diglett fact, you should have included that a funny little “inconsistency” is when diglett follows you in HG/SS (and probably other games, you can go over bridges and let’s just say it is pretty illogical

1:44 Best transition to a sponsor I have ever seen👌🏻 caught me off guard😂 and subscribed for that
@The_Colugo Жыл бұрын
Love the content! I think the tree at 3:44 is cut off because the tower has an opening there, and the tree would block the view.

That ending with the rock was just *mwah* chefs kiss with comedy to follow up on the Jarachi fact.

What do you mean "extra line of dialogue", I played emerald a TON of hours and battle pike was my favourite facility. I mashed A so I've always seen and hated that line since 2005 Also to be precise, Castform holding mystic water is something you actually get in hoenn games - it's like part of the gift

7:00 another funny fact about this so if you get a Diglett or Dugtrio to use Sunsteel Strike, it’ll pull a whole mount of dirt out of underneath it to hide its body

That sponsor transition actually got me, best way to slide it in.

I'm not even mad at that smooth transition into your sponsor lol.

I'm surprised not even the most dedicated shiny hunters haven't tried to get the shiny jirachi
@akitsuki3802 Жыл бұрын
Well, so much for Jirachi being the rarest shiny in the world. The things Pokémon Go does.
@Severiel2 Жыл бұрын
the research is actually really time consuming so I think it will still remain on the rarer side

I think the most mind-blowing aspect of this video is seeing my first ever Honkai sponsored video. Seriously, I don’t think anyone else gets sponsored by them for this game and not Genshin
@prestonjohnson56642 жыл бұрын
That was the smoothest ad transition known to mankind, fair play
@aappaapp66272 жыл бұрын
I will never get tired of the dramatic, downright poetic, wording of the penultimate fact and then the last one being minute and trivial 😂😂

That diglett and dugtrio fact in the Pokeathelon is insanely funny. I must have played that millions of times and never saw that

Y'know, I was about to fast forward past the sponsor. Then I saw Pardofelis. I quickly rewinded to the start of the sponser section. As a honkai veteran, I see honkai, I watch.
