did you buy 54-pin adapter for phone calls which sells separately ?

No, I think that's only needed on cars with certain radio system. Mine didn't need it.

How is it working out for you, 1yr later? Any issues? Would you recommend attaching a microUSB cable so you can run firmware updates later without having to remove all the trim again?

So far so good. It's the best one I've used yet. I haven't had a need to update firmware, but that's not a bad suggestion.

My 2007 3.0si has NAV and DSP amplifier. Can I just obtain the Bluetooth PK code and pair my Samsung S21 5G to it?

Not for music; I think you need Bluetooth 3.0 or newer for music, and 3.0 didn't come out until 2009. www.headphonesty.com/2021/01/bluetooth-versions/

I did not understand, why you have disassemble the right bracket, looks like cables are in reach?

I was wondering the same thing. I did mine without removing that bracket.

I understand the idea but the first 5 minutes of the video have nothing to do with an E85 but on the Bluebus page it's listed as "E85 Specific".
