The amount of patience, ingenuity and hard work your husband and son have shown in production of not only this amazing milking stand but also the different stations for the soap making business is absolutely stunning and well thought out. You're indeed blessed. Not many people these days have these skills and knowledge of tools and to be able to pass them on to your son too is also a gift! I guess the second group took offense at being called 'brats' 🤣 So only 1 milking machine for two goats at a time, but still easier than the 2-at-a-time of the old way. Once settled into the stalls, it's a continuous pattern. Very nice. Once the ladies get used to it - it will go even faster. Especially being mostly protected from the weather while waiting. Thanks for showing the whole operation.

How nice to see, I used to be a dairy goat farmer myself and a professional cheese maker, now I am a homesteader. In Europe we work with large dairy goats, I am always amazed that small dwarf goats are used in America, they are hobby goats here. Nice milking parlor, but the goats are far apart, here in the Netherlands the dairy goats are on a 12.9 inch stand, I also have a wooden milking parlor and between each food bowl there is a piece of wood vertically otherwise they eat from each other's food bowls, because they are so close together. I milked 100 like this divided into 7 groups.
