Hi. I recently watched when you were trying to make the cheddar cheese do you want quite sure about the end product. So I thought I’d mention the channel Four Seasons North. They also use their own goat milk. I’ve tried their way of doing it and enjoy the end result. So I thought maybe it would give you more ways to try.
I watched your recipee and made it with store bought milk. It turned out great! Thank you for sharing this recipee, I will definitely make this again.

I assume you can use whole cows milk the same way, right? Wish you lived near me I would gladly buy goats milk from you. Here is just under 5 dollars a quart. I drink it and use in my coffee. Cows milk has too much lactose gives me tummy troubles.

What’s the difference between farmers cheese and goat cheese or is it the same thing?
@BlueCactusDairyGoats3 жыл бұрын
If it's made with goat's milk, it's a cheese from goats milk, no matter the cheese. You can still make farmer's cheese with cow's milk.
@lyndaperky46873 жыл бұрын
That cheese looks delicious. You mentioned it could be used for lasagna and many other things. I have never tasted farmers cheese and am curious about the texture. Is it crumbly like feta, blue cheese, or cottage cheese? I am just so curious. Maybe I can find some locally at my grocery store in the specialty cheese section? After watching this last night I had to have a salad so I drove to Wends for their strawberry chicken salad with shredded white cheese. It was good but I may have to make a trip to Whole Foods today. 🤣 By the way I am still obsessed with your rainfall. You must be sick of me. Sorry! I keep praying for enough to get your pasture growing until you can move. How much would get your pasture growing? The monsoon looks to always go around Benson. I am aware I am a bother and you guys are so busy on the farm and videos but would love to see a photo post if you ever reach an inch. My brain doesn’t comprehend a rain gage with .003, .02, .3 or a quarter of an inch. I really try by looking on line, at my ruler, and a weather site that shows (estimated) rainfall up to the most recent 72 hours. My area in Kansas City, KS doesn’t have this problem at all. That addresses every curious question I have and promise to stop asking. ☺️

Hello, we recently started milking our goats and beginning this process of self sufficient to some small extent. We love to drink it and want to make this cheese badly, but I have a question. We only have 2 goats at this time and was wondering if we saved up 1/2 gallon to make this how long is to old? I have learned alot from your videos and want to thank you for your experience.
