I'm new to to drum corps, but I like the coach actually tapping out the metronome on one of the guys drums. Makes sense instead of trying to yell it out or tap their own sticks to it like other coaches do.

a lot of techs do that. my tech does it all the time. he either taps with a met in his ear or just puts in a speaker

zRiddick I've done a lot of Drumline and eights is a popular exersize with a lot of variations. They called it before reps so that everyone knew what to play.
