A pillar replacement procedure cut location in the sill is right where that new part you installed ended is so in hindsight could of put the whole new part in instead of cutting it short of the damaged area ... :)

Quick question. How much material are you actually removing with the small sander?
@anonymousanonymous99913 жыл бұрын
The thickness of the layer of metal which needs to come off. It should be about an 1/8th inch.

You shoud cut and replace the whole side or you will not reach the original passive safety in the event of a side collision.

Its crazy how tinny the metal is now.

It's high strength steel in most cases. Kyle makes it look easy, but it's a bitch compared to the stuff from 60 years ago.

What do you do if the B-pillar has the VIN sticker on it and the pillar is being replaced?
@joshcarlisle60094 жыл бұрын
There are companies who can print the vin and have rights to do so and also have the void made into sticker just like factory vin sticker. The vin is also at bottom corner in front of driver area.
@vidznstuff14 жыл бұрын
@@joshcarlisle6009 My State requires VIN in both locations. Cool. Which companies do this?

Just bc he doesn’t reply doesnt make him an asshole! He works ridiculous long hours and then goes home to do home renovations and work on other side jobs. Do you realize how time consuming it would take to reply to that many people? Show a little grace geez.

Thanks for making a video! I have to do this to my 2006 Silverado crew 2500HD. Thought about changing whole cab for a better interior.
