You speak to me!!! I started a business about 8 months ago, its been the best decision I've ever made as it relates to career. I came from chemical application and IPM in ag and horticulture. It was an easy transition from insecticide/fungicide/algaecide. Its all about the label. I started residential, now I also do small ranch and pasture. Bareground non crop, woody brush and stump treatments, pond/water quality applications. There's so much potential in this business. So far its just my weekend gig spring summer and fall. My day job is also herbicide related. Its been so great all around. Great video, keep em coming brother!

Good vid. Up north here, I have done both, and I make way more doing a combination than any one service or the other. Granted, i worked a lot of hours, still do, but thats just how I go for now. Mowing 120 a week 32 weeks a year is solid, then add spraying 60 into the mix, once every few weeks. The in between weeks we do everything else.

I 2nd this. I would like to see your techniques and hose management skills. I think that would help others as well that is just getting started. Explain your strategies on how you will be spraying, how to set up your patterns, etc. Basically a spraying tutorial. Would like to see you do a few videos on that. Lot of people don’t know how to manage that hose in an efficient manor to get done quicker. Just something to think about. Your videos are awesome though! You do a fantastic job with your channel.

The problem with the With weed control here in Florida, is you have to go work for somebody. And the hopes that they will sign you off after you've worked for them for years. Sign someone to have direct competition

Assuming I guess they don't want unlicensed people doing the work. Its the same for weed control, spraying weed killer, sprinkler well drilling. In a town across from ours, you have to have an irrigation license to work on sprinkler pumps. Its all about money in the grand scheme of things. @@jacobjohnson6766

Hello Jason, I am also in the Birmingham area and would like to know how does trifluralin rate as a pre-emergent on bermudagrass? I know it is not recommended but will it damage the grass? I have areas where I want to use it and it will be hard to keep it clear of the lawn. Thank you!

Do you have Doveweed videos? Im having some success mixing simazine into the handcan with the herbicide. Sometimes I use Tribute/simazine or a dicamba m/simazine.

Do you have to coordinate your spraying with when each lawn will be mowed. Seems like you wouldn’t want mowers coming in right after you done an application.

May be a dumb question but how is weed control a year round business? I thought you did pre-emergent fall/winter and spring/summer. Also is this something that could be done as a side business like on the weekends?

I am interested in spraying yards. I mow weekly and bi-weekly. Do you always have to get new customer for spraying? How often do you treat the same yard?

You will be thinking diffrently when you get cancer from the pesticides. You might not have it now, but by being around those chemicals all the time you will. If you're in Alabama those chemicals will transpire because of the heat while you inhale it. I'd much rather stay in lawn mowing just to not be around those chemicals. Plus not only 8 treatments per client with lawn mowing you will be there every week! 💰🤑

Why do you need an F350? You would save a lot on gas if you got something a bit smaller....

Water is 8.3 lbs a gallon. Those tanks Jason has might be 200 gal or more not including the sprayers and other things he carries. It adds up so it’s more reasonable to get a bigger payload truck. If he had a 1/2 ton he couldn’t hold as much spray and the gas mileage would suffer anyways with that weight if he could do it. Trailer would be an option but it’s much easier and faster to drive just a truck.
