I'm with everyone else; that feeding mechanism is *INSANELY* dangerous and anyone would have to be a fool to use it. All it would take is a single loop of wire to be on the wrong side of the guy's arm when the wire gets yanked into the blades and *BAM!!!* His arm may not be sucked all of the way into the blades, but a serious injury is absolutely guaranteed.

@MrPicklesAndTea4 жыл бұрын
pretty sure it's gravity based. Just chop it up into tiny pieces, vibrate the whole thing and the copper falls to the bottom with plastic on top. The finer plastic granules may have some copper left in them so it's recommended to recycle them through the machine.

Purchase price per pound today 11/24/21 for romex wire is $1.25/lb. Romex is 60% copper by weight. The end product of #1 copper dust is being purchased at $3.25/lb today. Take 100lbs of purchased wire @ $1.25/lb = $125 purchase price. After granulation/recovery 60% copper = 60/lbs @ $3.25/lb = $195 Thats a $70 profit per 100 lbs (or $0.70 cents per pound profit) This particular unit comes in at $36,000 USD That would be 51,428 lbs for this to pay for itself, or 25 US tons.

@Tommo0207885 жыл бұрын
I think the idea is that u could use this to make pure clean copper. Its much easier to melt when it is granulated. You can put the powder into a mold and melt it directly inside the mold. Another thing this might be good for, is to take wire which has insulation on it still, granulate it, then a magnet used to separate it. All that said, the machine is probably really really expensive and it doesn't look useful to a scrapper. It's more useful to someone who is into taking it a step further and recycling the metal themselves, which could make u a lot more than scrap value.
