Yes they are amazing boats and they catch a lot fish. Or if you are like Lars you can use them to collect seaweed for your vegan diet and hurt all the little organisms that live on it while your at it..... lol

So, why not just pul line and then when the tuna is running just anchor it on the the boat until the tuna stops running and then continue to pull the line back in?

The leader would snap. When the fish would surge he had to reduce the pressure on the fish. Matt was using the friction from his gloves on the rope as one would use the drag on a reel.

Yup what he said We used to catch sailfish free line like this. I have a few scars back from those days. The leader line can cut your skin open like a knife especially once your skin is all soft from the salt water.
