I feel different about Buchner. I think it's more of a question mark on how successful Buchner will be, in comparison to how Hartman will look as QB. Buchner to me could be great one day, but he still needs a lot of days to try out what he can do in a game. Hartman knows what he likes, and I'm sure he will voice his opinion in Spring Break practice.

Well the thing with Buchner is I noticed that as the bowl game was going it seemed like he really started to utilize the weapon's he had and was mixing up when he decided to run, however Hartman is Notre Dame"s starter in 2023.

No recruit is going to bring up Notre Dame bringing in transfer QB's because they have a question if Notre Dame will start the best guy. The recruits will bring it up as part of their larger question of "Why should I believe I will be developed by Tommy Rees when he keeps having to bring in transfers that were developed by someone else over the guys that he was supposed to develop?" So if Notre Dame wants to try to avoid that question and deflect away from Rees being terrible at his job of QB development then saying something like Mike Singer said would be the way to go.

I'm a little baffled regarding all of other channels that talk about Irish football including Blue and Gold regarding Hartman coming to the Irish and the only other QB that is mentioned is Buchner. What happened to Steve Angeli and why the silence on him? Mike, have you heard anything regarding Angeli? I get why Buchner, if Hartman is the starter might look into the portal, but if he is QB2, he's only 1 play from being the starter.

Tobias was held back because of poor QB play. WRs were open down field and no ball. It's hard for a WR to shine when you don't get the ball.

The only question we need to ask about CJ Williams is: Does he bring a skill set that we don't already have? The answer is no. He got beat out by less heralded freshmen at USC. He'll be a depth piece, nothing more if he comes to Notre Dame

I think Buchner goes through the spring but if Hartman is QB1 which he should be Buchner will enter the portal. Minchey and Carr are the future and Angeli could be the buffer between. I think Buchner is all but gone already.

I wouldn't be so sure. Buchner is really smart in addition to being really competitive. QBs get hurt, which is a challenge for Buchner as well as an opportunity, as even if he gets beat out by Hartman, it's really unlikely Hartman plays all 13 games. Buchner has 2 years of eligibility AFTER Hartman comes in for one year. He has not played a full season of football in nearly 4 years(HS injury and covid cancellation). He needs time, and this is a great way to develop him (assuming Rees can finally prove he knows how to do that😂).

It's all about player development!! The best recruiting tool is having freshmen, provided they are strong enough and have the playbook down, play!!! Recruits talk and observe. So, play the young guys...the talent is already tbere! Skip on this guy Williams,, hes a USC B-lister. He couldnt play at a big time program. Avg. Wr but from a bigtime HS program.. VAMOS ND!!☘

What does GA have that ND doesn't have? Lots of stars for sure and they never have to study for sure. All the stars would have to align before ND ever won the NT again. In the meantime I think there will be some great games. Go Irish.
