I've already lost a few primetone picks, i can't imagine spending so much on a bluechip or something like it and possibly losing that too 😂 I probably will though, if im honest....

I've used both the primetone and the blue chip (among a host of others), and the primetone is my favorite. Picks can be a very personal choice, though.

Love this video but as a primetone user who's trying to justify my cheapness I would have loved everyone to try one blindfolded and say it was a blue chip. Not saying y'all would...but if y'all did...the vindication!!

I have used the primetone pics a lot! My only gripe is they wear out and don’t stay the same shape on the bevels, my blue chips look like they did when they were new, (and I play a lot)

Hey now! I agree. And…depending upon the individual tonal requests/demands of whatever instrument I am holding, I have found the solid color blue chip style Primetone picks to be a little darker and more grabby and still totally workable. Sometimes I choose them because I don’t want to lose a harder to replace pick in the dark of the campground. That being said, I’ve just learned to keep up with my blue chips better. The caseins tend to break. I like them too. But, I always choose a blue chip TD-60, CT-55, or a TAD-1R60 depending on the instrument. Still, after all that wordiness, the only other pick in my stash box is a primetone. Love this content y’all.

Love your playing and channel very much. I wanted to ask since I'm just starting out with my channel....how can I get a better sound quality? I want to mic up guitar into the videos but I don't know what to buy and how it all works. I'm just doing videos with my cell phone and I need to step my game up. God bless you

I use Fender XTRA heavy triangle picks. Seems like for this to be fair you’d need to use a thicker fender.

I have a tendency to go through a lot of cheap reading glasses, usually by breaking them. Wondering what could possibly be done with them once broken, I hit upon the idea of making my own picks from the hard plastic lenses, On a belt sander, you can shape them to any desired thickness or shape. Being very pleased with the results, my pick buying days are over. Still enjoyed the video, though. Oh, and as a side note, if you want a "legal" tortoise shell pick, you can do what a friend of mine did: go to any antique auction site and bid on cosmetic cases and such that were made before the ban, then cut them up into your desired pick shape and thickness.

Not loved much by "community" for some reason but inexpensive and (in my opinion) very good: Dunlop Ultex. Really close to the Blue chip by how it feels and plays from my experience.

Great video Marcel. I think the conversation should’ve been kept to a minimum while playing. You guys unintentionally biased each other. Maybe each guess should’ve been kept secret too and then the answers shared with everyone at the very end. To do that right everyone probably would need to be separated and filmed one at a time though.
