I've sung with our friend, Kenny Hatton, on a few occasions and I can tell you he's even better when he's a foot away from you! The power, air control, pitch, and clarity is absurd. One of the Society's all-time great Leads.

All these years later I've got almost 50 in myself- they are still THE BEST DAMNED QUARTET EVER!!! I have sung with them on more than one occasion(What FUN!) and I wish that I could go to didtrict contest to enjoy them again. These 4 won their gold medal as I was a senior in high school and was just getting introduced to barbershop music. What an introduction! Each part is solid and could take over. The lead is such a great quarterback (pun intended) of the rest. His clear tone gives a powerful pole to hang the other three parts on. I think that's what gives them such tremendous blend and balance. One of the top 5 quartets of all time in my opinion.

I would pay a few dollars just to sing like Kenny Hatton for a couple of songs. Also the interpretation and singing in ( Are we even allowed to say it in the modern times now? ) Swanee is beyond compare.

I don't think anyone will shun you for saying the name swanee haha, or even listening to the song for that matter; It's the continuation of singing the song that people have issue with; Context always matters.
