The players are probably mad at the FO because they don't seem to know how to make the team better. Like after a dismal offensive season in 2023, it was plain as day what needed to be done during the off season, but Shapiro still thought that Bo and Vlad was all the offense they needed. They needed to sign a couple of air craft carriers to put the ball over the fence, but what did they do? They brought back KK and signed glove only players! How dumb can the FO be?

I remember when the Jays manager did not intentionally walk Ohtani and he hit a HR and watched Chapman in the dugout scream at Schneider, I thought OK, he's not resigning with this team.
@marvelas60902 ай бұрын
This shouldn't be a shocked to us.. Chapman turned down a multi-year deal, Jansen also turned one down, Bo wants out, Soto and Ohtani did not want to sign with the Jays. Now we got Bassitt coming out and making statements while he still has a year left. The Veterans did not sign with the Jays to see the AAA guys come up and fill the major league lineup.. they want to win! I can assure you that Atkins will not sign Vlad and he will shift blame to Vlad NOT wanting to be a Jay (he's good at that). Time for a CHANGE NOW
@dehavillandcanadatwinotter96212 ай бұрын
How do you know Soto and Ohtani didn’t want to play for the Jays? They just got higher offers from the big market teams. Unfortunately if the big market teams aren’t hit with some cap hit then greedy players will just keep chasing the money.
@richheardthis80182 ай бұрын
Bichette, Chapman and Bassitt cannot all be lying or just entitled. At some point, you have to look at the environment rather than just blaming the players. If a player says they like another environment better, then turning a blind eye and saying the player didn't step up enough while here could be glossing over major problems with the way things are run. The Jays have had the same hitting coach through many offensive plagued seasons in Guillermo Martinez. Where is the accountability?

Chapman had a horrible relationship with John Schneider. He also turned down 100M worth of contract in the early offseason. I still remember that one Apple TV game against the Angels last year, where John Schneider decided to pitch to Ohtani and Gausman immediately gives up a home run. Chapman was cursing and fuming in the dugout at Schneider. Was never a good relationship between them

I see it ... When upper players do not want to sign with you. When you offer large amounts of money and it is a no. Upper management has to go because there is a major disconnect with new and old players wanting to be here. The opportunity was here when the team was built with offense but that fun feeling was destroyed when they suddenly felt that defense was the way to go. The front office is lost, dazed and confused and what was good ...well is now falling partially apart!!!

Chapman, glad he's not on this team as his temperament and energy was not a good fit for a Toronto team; he was traded here and he was not happy to be here from the beginning same as with Tulo...he couldn't get over being traded, so they did not embrace the opportunity. We must have players with edge like Springer, Vlad instead of dull energies. The front office want playere more like them, and mailable, if you notice AA has edge these guys do not. Bassit was hoping to be traded and he wasn't so now he speaks to make sure that he is gone.

Shapiro and Atkins. This is their team, they were very insistent on that when they took over from AA. They were quick to get rid of fan favorites (admittedly some of them wanted more than they were worth), and then claimed the young guys would come up and make this team competitive. They won't admit their mistakes, they won't accept any criticisms, and they have been stuck in neutral for the past 3 seasons.

Good video guys. I don't normally comment on you tube videos. but I feel I need to add something that you did not mention in this video about the front office. 1. The problem is not Ross Atkins. He just does whatever Mark tells him to do. All trades have to be approved by Mark before they are made. BELIEVE DAT!! 2. Remember when Rogers announced that Shapiro was taking over the front office? If not, allow me to remind everyone of an important point. A number of Toronto sports writers ( some that work for Sportsnet ) wrote articles about Mark. They Detailed that Mark Shapiro is coming here with a reputation for butting heads with people and players with big personalities. The problem is him guys. He's not like AA. Alex got along with everyone, Mark does not. That's why players like to play for AA but not Mark. I've been a Blue Jays fan since the 80's. Mark my words..... The Blue Jays will never win a world series again until Mark Shapiro leaves. If Rogers is smart, then they will move on from Mark after the renovations are finished. If Rogers wants to show us their 1,000,000 I.Q. move, then they should fire Mark after the 2024 season.
