Everyone forgets Berrios has an OP-out in 2 years. He's not staying and if he does he'll likely want another 150M/5 as a 33-year-old. 25 teams right now would give you 3 of their top 5 and another 3 of their 5-12 top specs. Think about that. Berrios has way more value than Bo or Vlad now. *He does have a "limited no-trade clause".

If you signed Bo and Vlad for 8-10 years each, you have 70M locked up for 2 players (that may or may not hit well in their 30's) What if Vlad shows up to spring training in 3 years and weighs 300p. Nothing you can do, he legally has to be paid. That's 26% of your payroll. you still need to pay the other 23 guys. Trade both now for max value (go after AA & AAA specs that are blocked) You can rebuild in 1-2 years.

At 8:17 secs you show all the 13 players that "could" be traded now. If you trade them ALL now you'd have the top 1-2 farm. *you then have payroll under 100M to go are grap more great player to fill needs. Rarely do teams get this opportunity. Sometimes they get 3-4 players or 5. This would be epic and in 2 years the Jays would be WS favs. IF you don't trade, you get Vlad's childish outburst for the next 8 years and Bo throwing over his head.

jansen"s always been very overrated. he had a career high 72 hit's way back 2019. . 310 hit's in 7 years and he's the main catcher. he's right around where he should be, around a .220 avg. if they do extend him i hope it's dirt cheat. if he ever even got 100 hits in a season i'd be astounded. I dont know why some fans think he's irreplaceable. just an example. conner wong has 71 hit's already this year and a .316 avg. i know he's great with the pitchers but jeezzum crow

4 weeks ago you guys were open to trading Vlad...he wasn't hitting. You'd get nothing because of his salary. NOW, he has decent to strong "trade value" and your concern is your Vlad merch? (this is the problem with young TO sports fans.) they care more about their jersey & bobbyheads than they do winning. You blow the team up and in 2 years have Horwitz, Schneider ...the 3 star AA/AAA specs you traded for and the shiny new FA you signed all hitting 20+HRs and you won't even remember Bo and Vlad.
