Jonas is an MVP! I love that you capture all the little details and beauty of life on the water, even on a day that most would consider miserable. You two are inspiring!

Enjoy watching the idea of a sailboat and the freedoms it can bring. To let you know they do make a boom brake that could be a great add on to your mainsail so it won't swing across violently, for safety. Yes Blue Moon is ready for a haul out for a bottom scrub.

Always amazed by the video quality, the editing and the commentary. Absolutely love how you let the pictures speak for themselves without needless voice overs.

It does look cold! I hope you get back to the dock soon . Jonas, Bravo Zulu on the hull work. You're a man of many talents. The two of you are amazingly self sufficient.

When you said you had growth on the hull, I thought it would be less. Wow.

I still like your videos a lot.... Just as it is, without made up Highs and Lows. Always a good choice in music too, and how you edit that in your videos. I have to admit your pretty face is also a reason why I keep watching 😁 And now preparing for winter again...this is my second winter watching the 2 of you. And I'm always amazed by the huge amount of snow you guys have there. I live in the Netherlands and we have 2 weeks of snow a year and at the most 15 cm.only. Also nice to see parts of Canada again through your eyes, be cause when I was still sailing on Dutch Ocean going Tugboats we sailed a few times to Canada. Take care. 🥰

Amazing how much growth there is over time when you are not moving. Hope your sail back to the marina goes smoothly.

Funny, I just clean my bottom yesterday(...my boat bottom) My goodness! you had a rainforest growing there. I'm surprised you were able to move through the water with that Christmas tree on the bottom. I used to do it for living in Southern California, and whenever I saw something like this, I would curse for a minute before I start. Is it hard work! Especially if you use just snorkel.. Fortunately for me I still have air compressor back from those days. And I'm in freshwater on Columbia River. Very little growth and no barnacles. Anyway, as always, I enjoyed watching your video. Thank you guys!

Young and able….dive yourself with the right setup……save a ton, learn the boat, gain confidence when the prop gets wrapped. Fun video…dove my cat today in a horrible location ( Florida) where the growth is crazy! Thanks..,miss BC…..Andrew

That stove is really meant for camping outdoors. LPG is heavier than air and if there is a leak from such a stove or gas bottles that are not in a proper gas locker then the escaping gas can collect in the bilges with possibly fatal results. Can I suggest you a Marine gas engineer to check it out and make sure the setup is safe. On a better note your videography is getting better and better. Really good. All the best.

Keep in mind that the longer you wait to haul out and scrape instead you'll most likely have to take it down to gel coat and barrier coat it... you can also beach it to put bottom paint on. Don't forget your shaft zink.

A haul out is immensely needed, this boat has been in the water way to long. I would not be surprised if you don’t have tons of blisters. It may start leaking soon, this growth will penetrate the fiberglass hull and destroy your boat. I have watched several videos of boat lifers and never seen one so bad. This growth was coming off in chunks. I hope to see you guys haul out soon. Do a bottom job, anti fouling paint job. Keep scraping until you can haul out at least once a month. This was sever growth from what I seen. Sailing brick house video grafter had the same problem years ago had so many blisters it wasn’t funny. And he said this is very bad for a boat because it can cause leakage and cracks, separation of fiberglass layers. You may already know this. But good luck. Otherwise I like watching you guys, always great video quality, and great videos. This was a nice anchorage, beautiful place to pick for a stay on the water.

I know it is brutal heading into Fall and Winter, but you have to shoot for cleaning every 4-6 weeks. If you start with a decent bottom you can do it in 15-20 minutes, 10 minutes with a tank. It is also not safe to allow such a huge amount of growth to accumulate. It can damage the hull and shaft as well as make your boat unresponsive. Easier said than done. Especially coming Southern California. Zincs every 4 months. Even if you just jump in and check the proo, shaft and rudder once a week, it will take 5 minutes.

That was some serious growth! Are you sure it is a sailboat and not a houseboat? Great video and choice of music as always.

16:11 Ah, it's been a while since you've done a deep cleaning on this channel. :) Could you talk about that stove at some point? It seems to be front and center in your daily life, and it looks pretty solid. Do you use the stovetop in the galley ever?
