I recently renovated my entire yard with Bermuda Arden 15 and Monaco. The results have been fantastic, I am DOMINATING the entire neighborhood. I followed all the growing techniques taught by the big hitters here on KZbin. BlueMuda seems like a whole new challenge I want to add to the mix. I have picked out the five varieties of Kentucky blue from seed super store (Award, fahrenheit 90, Blue Note, BlueBank, Mazama). I picked these as I live in North Carolina and they seem the most appropriate given my location. I've read a few articles, it seems the target date to seed would be September 1. I'm excited to throw this down and see what happens! Any comments or insights would be great to hear, I would love to hear some feedback?

I really loved my overseeded Pennington Fairway Supreme this year that I put down on my backyard. I chose not to kill it off and just to let it play out and see what happens, the bermuda is like green in comparison. I’m considering putting some KBG down in some of my shaded areas where Bermuda just doesn’t want to grow, I’m excited to watch your results.

I reno'd last year with Turf Blue HGT KBG in St. Louis, MO. where Brian Winca was 1st big proponent of Bluemuda. Can't wait to see results. Check out Tahoma 31 as your Bermuda cultivar. Year round goodness!!! Matches well with Turf Blue HGT. Good luck!

I’m going with bluemuda this year as well. I’m not sure if I’ll be using tenacity yet or not, but I will do a similar process with the PGR, scalping, raking, seeding, rolling and peat moss. Looking forward to seeing yours results. The small area you have looks incredible.

I have my XGRN, which takes care of the biochar and chicken compost. Plus a splash of some peptide action and I am good. Anything else and I need a bigger shed.

Great Vid Mike! Check out the Mazama KBG as and option. Ryan Knorr used 3 different cultivars of KBG on his right side yard last fall and the Mazama looked the best by a long shot! Can't wait to see this process coming up in the Fall. I do have to say your front lawn is looking fantastic as well so that seed was great as well. I assume that was a 3 cultivar mix of KBG and it is holding on strong in the warmer weather, I am very impressed. I like this idea and your little 180 sq ft is looking pretty darn good! It all make sense to me minus the herbicide issue you may encounter but you can cross that bridge when you get there. As always I appreciate you content, trials and tribulation! I have a bermuda sod front lawn below you in Chattanooga and can imagine trying this down the road. I'm against annual seeding but this is the cure. Looking forward to seeing the process as well as what the front looks like as the transition to cool weather happens.

All I could imagine as you explained the process was Salt Bae with HGT seeds. I bet some Monaco Bermuda would look great with the KBG. Just food for thought 😁

Hey man. I want to transition my backyard into bluemuda. It’s currently TTTF and KBG with a battle against POA A. I’m in northern Virginia. Should burn it all down and establish KBG first this Fall? Or burn it all down late Spring and start with the Bermuda? Would love to work with you on this. Let me know if you want to chat in-depth.

Yes I am in Knoxville. The bluemuda KBG is doing well. My main KBG is hurting but soil temps are near 100 right now. So that's expected

The main front was a complete renovation from Bermuda to KBG. I overseeded some left over seed into the side strip of my yard with KBG to make the bluemuda.

If you have bermuda now just scalp it after a health growth regulator application. It worked well for my test plot last year and will be doing the same this year.

Then after some reviews and basically being called out, Doc now calls it a "supplement" and that stinks of a person who isn't honest with the community. He just cares about his bottom line.
