It was the full dress, carb, dist, balancer etc. Had to buy the water pump. Depending on how your pulleys line up you may need to make changes. The balancer was too big and my PS pump didn't fit. I ended up modifying the bracket. Mine also came with two flex plates. I bought a new torque converter.

Why does the alternator have two belts?
@shamdog Жыл бұрын
On the original 283 the alternator and the power steering pump were both on the driver side of the engine, I'm not exactly sure why it had two belts, but since it's such a long belt and it's so far from the engine it tends to slip with only one belt. My plan was to move it to the other side but It just didn't happen yet

@AB-80X3 жыл бұрын
Considering what they charge now for their 383 and 400 inch SBC, why get a 350? You have to remember that these hp numbers are STP correction numbers, so think about what you will need and eventually grow out of. Their 400 inch SBC is probably their best value at this stage, and has proven to be one of their most reliable packages. It is a bit more, but consider what you actually spend on your truck in total, and how you use it. If not the 400 inch, their 383 is the second best value.
