@@jaro4742 If Soto signs with another team, Judge should go back to right field, the Martian should play center field, and Pereira and Jones could platoon in left field or the Yankees could try to make a multi-player trade for a Steven Kwan, Bryan Reynolds, or similar type good hitting+good defensive outfielder to play in left field. The Yankees also need to get another catcher and trade Jose Trevino as his arm is too weak for a catcher.

They need to hire coaches that create a continuous sense of urgency with zero tolerance for error or lack of effort and they need to have players drill fundamentals throughout the off-season.

I also think we need to sign another great starter Our bullpen Is great and one of best in league but the starters are not reliable outside of cole. None of them had consistent playoffs . When we went on losing streak it was msolty because starting pitching was not performing the offense was averaging the same amounts of runs per game but starters had era over 5 for a month. Another great ace level starter is needed for sure!

I think my ideal winter is shaping up to be Soto, Santana and Bregman and bullpen. Want Santana to teach Soto first base over the season and then have Soto at first in 26. Then a coaching overhaul but I doubt that happens (other than maybe a new third base coach bc I think they might even agree that was atrocious)

In :re to accountability, there will be none. I just watched an interview with Goose Gossage, and he's right: Cashman is a buffoon, and Boone is nothing more than a puppet yes-man. How many of the basic fundamental aspects of the game this team was absolutely terrible at is appalling. Re-signing Soto isn't going to fix that.

This is Steinbrenners doing and lineup 100%. He don’t care about titles he just cares about quick money. They need a new hitting coach ( Bernie would be it ) Head coach Jorge posada . Pitching coach petite Bench coach Paul O’Neill ( he’s almost at every game as it is ) Operations upstairs Derek Bullpen coach Mariano . These guys are lost back there damn. ✅ I like your blueprint Derek. I think it’s missing one thing. There’s no upgrade on offense & losing Gleyber will hurt the offense. I would call San Diego & see if they have any interest in trading Arraez. I would be willing to trade Spencer Jones or Ben Rice, if needed. That would further stretch the line up (Arraez batting leadoff, Dominguez batting 9) & more people that could keep the carousel moving. Saves SD some money & NYY could save money by non-tendering Grisholm & signing “cheap” defense with Michael A. Taylor. Profar is also a first base option. 500+ innings at 1b.

Hey , big fan watch after every game. Here’s is my death lineup : LF Martian CF Judge RF Soto 3B Cabrera 2B Jazz 1B Berti/rice C Wells/narvaez.. DH Stanton SS Volpe this is a great lineup with 4 power hitters and 5 speed guys. It is pivotal to have both power and speed as you can score many runs just from stolen bases and sac flys. So this offense will score with home runs and speed. berti and Cabrera great d so fixes infield defense. If Soto gone we can just replace him with someone and still be good . Let me know what you think . Love the show!

I like Derek's blueprint except for signing Alex Bregman from the cheating Houston Astros. Bregman's statistics are starting to deteriorate and he is probably in the decline phase of his career. That being said, getting Bregman and moving Jazz to second is better than resigning Gleyber Torres, as his hitting has been inconsistent over the years, he frequently tries to hit a home run instead of situational hitting when men are on base in scoring position, plus his numerous fielding errors, lack of hustle, poor baserunning, and low baseball IQ have been frustrating to watch over the last six years. Personally, I would rather have the Yankees sign Willy Adames, play Adames at short, keep Jazz at third, and move Volpe to second. I would approach Judge about taking some reps at left field and first base and see if he feels comfortable playing occasionally at left field and/or first base.

Resign Soto, trade Stroman and a prospect for Nico Hoerner. Hoerner at 2B and Jazz at 3B. I don’t think Rice is the answer at 1B in a win now mode for next year - maybe sign Goldy to a 1 year deal and let him help develop Rice. Power move would be getting Santander to play 1B and would be an awesome power hitting switch hitter in our lineup. Trade Spencer Jones for a young future high end rotation guy (Crochet/Luzardo). Not too worried about the bullpen but we should add a high leverage reliever… Scott, Hoffman, Helsley, Williams etc. Lineup: 1. Hoerner - 2B 2. Soto - LF 3. Judge - RF 4. Santander - 1B 5. Stanton - DH 6. Jazz - 3B 7. Wells - C 8. Dominguez - CF 9. Volpe - SS Rotation 1. Cole 2. Crochet/Luzardo 3. Rodon 4. Gil 5. Clarke Nestor becomes the long man, and Stroman gets traded to the Cubs for Hoerner.
