I don't like Rob "Danny Ozark, Jr." Thomson as the manager of the Phillies or Aaron Boone as the manager of the Yankees. When their team doesn't hit, neither of these managers knows how to play "small ball". When the Yankees had the bases loaded with nobody out, how come no one hit a sacrifice fly, or if's a different situation like 1st and 3rd with 1 out, why not try a "suicide squeeze"? It's mind-boggling how both these managers don't try anything when the team isn't hitting. What about trying a Corbon Caroll of the AZ. Diamondbacks approach? Walk, steal 2nd and 3rd, and score on a fielder's choice or preferably a sac fly. I'm sorry, but I don't see the Phillies or the Yankees getting to the World Series this year. I hope I'm wrong because I'd like to see a rematch of the 2009 World Series, but I think it's unlikely. The Phillies could win 115 games this season, and would still find a way to lose in the NLDS or NLCS. I don't know if the second half is going to be a good half for either team, but if the Yanks don't figure out what to do while waiting for players to return from the IL, they might have to be content being a Wild Card. The Orioles might have lost 5 games, and not haven't won anything since 1983, but that losing streak and their bad play aren't going to last forever. He doesn’t hustle, makes huge errors and can’t hit consistently. They either gotta trade him or sit him and let Oswaldo Cabrera play 2B most of the time.
