good one.. gotta say...I have been selling on Ebay since 2004 and in the last few years the fraud has gotten worse by the month. coins are the worst. I sold antique coins, jewelry, plates, magazines and comics books and rarely had a problem. everytime I ship a coin sold on Ebay, I get anxiety. Ebay sucks for sellers. I see they have the NGC thing on there now. can you maybe make a video that tells how sellers can use the NGC service on Ebay and the costs...that would be a good one. thanks and glad to see you're feeling better. cheers.

Mike Hendrick the problem I'm worried about it I have about a thousand coins saved up in three years and about 3,000 hours of inspection along with microscope work waiting to sell online I'm restarting my hobby again but I have anxiety about theft and deception so I don't want to lose something even if it's a $10 Penny? But if I get something up there three figures I don't want to lose it from fraud or theft and the post office do you nine any kind of recompensation and eBay and PayPal backing up the buyer but yeah it's pretty bad so I'm going to have to use signature confirmation and registered my ex-wife works at the post office so that's the best way and if they are crooked at that point then they need to be turned in to the authorities my best of luck to you

3 coins shops near me within 8 miles. One specializes in rare coins and pays the most consistently for sterling, 90% junk and gold. Another one is owned by a local guy and he pays well for gold, pre-1933 above spot near greysheet, and so-so for 90%. The last is a shop half owned by the nicest guy in the world and loves to teach, but his posted prices are set by the chain of stores owners.

Great video Blue Ridge, definitely thumbs up!! I have to get my coins graded, I'm gonna stick to ebay and auction houses. I want the big money! I have went to the pawn shop and coin shop to sell my Silver Eagles during desperate time's, a long time ago! They just give you half or less of value of the coin! They give money for the silver! I do buy from them, it's a great place to buy coins! I got rid of my 2000 and 1999 Uncirulated Silver Eagle's! I wish I kept them they were, really nice!! I do have a few left of early dates!! Not gonna get rid no more, unless it's ebay or Auction houses! Thanks for making this insightful video!!

Shaun thank you for the information on selling coins. The 1958D I have on wrong planchet is raw and I want to know what planchet it is on before I try to sell it. Can you help me? It sticks to a magnet that so I think it is steel. It is is gold colored and the rim is silver colored. I found it in a box from the bank roll searching for pennies.

Look around for local auctions and speak with them to see their fees and dates to list it, try asking if they can grade your coin as well, more money for a higher grade.

What's up AA. Well, most likely your coin now is worth face value. It's a mistake you know now, so lesson learned. Keep it for junk silver or try to sell it to a coin shop. Most likely they will know it's cleaned but it's a nice way of starting a honest friendship with a dealer. Good luck n much success in the future.

I do not think it is worth face value(.50 cents) at all. It will be worth the silver melt value as a damaged silver coin. Today that's $6.13. It all depends on that days silver price

I have several sacagawea 2000 P dollars. The 2000 P "Cheerios" edition is the highly saught after one. You should get a coin appraisal on yours if its a 2000 P because it could be worth around $5,000.00 - $6,000.00

@@paulariley3167 If it doesn't have a date on it then you may be looking at some serious cash. I would get a standard membership with PCGS, which is around $60.00 and send your coin to them. Your coin will have way more value if it is graded.
