I thought I was the only one who remembered this. Blues and Bullets I bought that when episode one came out when Total biscuit covered it. I thought it was awesome and kept checking it for years despite knowing it would never be finished.

This is definitely a game I regret missing. An incredible video! For the others in the comments -- anyone have any guesses as to what Doug narrated but wasn't sure about in the title in the interview? From his own website, the four games he was credited in as the narrator are 'Tales of Iron' in '21 (which he mentions later in the interview, so that's probably out), 'Yokaverse' and 'Diofield Chronicle' in '22 (both good candidates as far as I can tell), and Tales of Iron 2 this year. Interestingly, the same list on Wikipedia is much shorter -- and has some other games in the same range (Namely, God Souls and Payday 3, both in named roles.)

I know it's been awhile but I was watching the steam trailer for Atomic Heart and I''m 99% sure Doug does the narration for it and it's nowhere on any of his websites or roles, so I wonder if it's that? I can only see 1 time he tweeted about it lol

Thank you for taking the time to respect people's triggers and sensitivities in a considerate manner. It's a really hard line to walk between "censor everything" and "f--k people's feelings" but I think you did a really good job of finding a reasonable middle ground.

Appreciate this feedback! I want to do more story analysis in addition to mechanics analysis in the future, and while most games won't be nearly as dark as this, it's still important to me that I can present the story as truthfully as possible, while also making sure that people won't have to leave a video midway through due to unexpectedly being upset by the content. I'd rather add a quick disclaimer and lose the view VS upsetting someone and ruining their day.

I don't honestly think my channel will grow huge just because I tend to make videos that are too long or too niche-y, but I enjoy making them and use pretty much all my free time to make stuff, so it's nice to know people are watching! Let me preface by stating that I enjoyed the video. I'm surprised that I never heard of this game before now, as I followed TB's uploads religiously back in the day. This may be unexpected feedback, but I can comment a bit on the submarine as someone who spent 6 years assigned to an SSBN crew. This is absolutely not going for realism. Beyond the vaguely industrial interior, the environment here is definitely more "James Bond villain" than "gritty realism." Even in the case of a larger submarine, like the one portrayed here and the SSBNs I'm personally familiar with, space is at a premium. Because there's no way to "build up" like with superstructures on surface ships, a submarine is very much limited to the size of its pressure hull. As a result, each space is optimized and absolutely crammed. If space isn't occupied by a piece of equipment or supporting cabling and/or piping for them, then it will almost undoubtedly end up used for some sort of storage. Tools, replacement parts, consumables, plus emergency gear like fire extinguishers and whatnot. So their take here is absolutely going for ham and drama.

Haha i actually watched a few "submarine tours" after the video went live and definitely got a claustrophobic vibe from it. Saying it's "James Bond villain" is a great description and I wish i thought of that for the video
