my friend told me to look up this game for some nostalgia (never played this series but love n64) and this was a great video to show me the charm of snowboard kids!

Snowboard Kids Plus has dualshock support on PS1 you just played the game without swapping to it in your emulator settings.

i once made roleplay in XCOM 2. such a great experience. losing 3 guys in the end now i'm roleplaying in Stalker Anomaly. i think game with randomizer like that give amazing experience for roleplaying since the story in our head could be different after each roleplay. that's make the game replayable and fun

Some years ago I played Stark Tower Defense. Then it was gone. I think it is the best tower defense game ever. Or is there a better game than Stark Tower Defense?

Being a writer of characters for fiction and working in theater, I don’t feel like I have ever had a hard time at least feeling like I am making choices for the character as the character as opposed to myself. Like I have to understand my antagonist in my stories even if I know they are the antagonist (not neccessarily a villian, depends on the story.) like I have to at least reason out why my antagonist is who they are and do the same for my protagonist. And it never at least feels like its about me. Which Is why in video games I don’t everyreally do evil playthrough just to see. I also try not to do purely good ones. I really try just to get outside of myself and think like they would. And sometimes I am like I wouldn’t do that, but the character would making me feel less guilty about the path they take. If I am doing evil just to ‘evil’ it feels as dishonest as always making what feels like the ideal choice. Its only in having a mix of choices (good, bad, and even neutral when it isn’t so black and white) that I truly feel pulled out of myself into this fun adventure with this whole other being existing on a fictional playing field.

When I play games, I usually enjoy playing the evil character the most. That is unless they make it boring to do so. Playing the games exactly how I would act in real life feels like there is no real point. I get into games to escape reality and being evil is just so much fun.

I'm a zoomer but the nostalgia is real, i used to play the first two games all the time on my N64 emulator. There's just this extremely camp and original vibe going through the games that got me obsessed with it, the soundtrack is also honestly one of the best of the N64 overall. I really hope they someday port the games to modern consoles, i would love to play an online match with people and seeing the chaos that happens in racing games.

Honestly, it just makes me happy to know the younger generation is still playing and enjoying these games! While we may never get a 3rd or even a port, It's awesome to see people come back to this video just to share how much they loved the series.

@@RealityEscape Yes! Snowkids may have been short, but it always delivered originality and just a really good time overall. I think that's why it stuck with me for years. I also started playing Plus to see the differences, and i kinda prefer it over the N64 version due the extra characters, less aggressive rubber banding, customization and cutscenes for each character. That quicksand valley turn is still hell to do tho.

There’s a lot of different sides to games…. Free or games that cost money. Either way… My favorite KZbin playable game is Hide and Seek, followed (currently) by a farm game. Hide and Seek on KZbin-the free version, is actually MUCH better than the app version, which is also free, but there are a LOT of ads… This farm game…. 🤪🤪🤪. I mean, the appeal is that you can unlock pieces of land (that pop out of the water), you have no idea what will be on a piece of land (curiosity) that you unlock mainly via money (earned from harvesting crops and selling them/selling other kinds of foods-honey, eggs, milk, etc., also wool from sheep.. (At least the ones I currently know about-wheat, sunflowers, cherries, apples, oranges, lemons, tomatoes, strawberries, corn, eggplant, onions, eggs, milk, wool, fish, honey, maybe a few others…). It’s fun, no pressure, you don’t have to keep (frequently) going back to the game to harvest everything all the time, it’s very much go at your own place…. Slow down any time you want, etc. The point of Hide and Seek is obviously to either hide or seek. 😁😁. The point of the farm game-more annoying still in a way, yes…. It’s just to get bigger and bigger and wealthier and wealthier, etc. But you know, new crops, new colors, bigger overall farm, etc. 🤷♂️ At the end of the day, if it’s free, no ads, halfway fun, I mean, 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️😁.

1. All those chapters must have been a pain in the ass lol 2. Probably oversharing, but I call them toilet games lol. Its me sitting down on the toilet or on a five minute slow section at work, or on a five minute pomedoro break from some paper I procrastinated, or letting my arm breathe from practicing violin too long and my wrist is cramping up. Its just letting me zone out for like five minutes, no thought, just scroll, pick a game, and let my brain breathe. I hate the concept of them, but in practice I actually kind of like them?????? I mean some of them are just shit, but there are a couple good ones I enjoy. It's mindless and I like that.

The chapters were brutal, i finished all of them and then KZbin crashed when I tried to save them so I had to do it twice 😭

I have over 60 TD games in my Steam library and have played them to death. Those you missed: Defense Grid (of course), Dungeon Warfare, Element TD 2, Pixeljunk Monsters 1 & 2, Evil Defenders, Fieldrunners 2, iBomber Defense. GemCraft, Kingdom Rush and Plants Vs Zombies are, of course, true classics.
