Did that guitar body have side-braces (be it fabric or wood)? If so, curious why the side-braces allowed the crack to spread such a long distance along the side? Thank you John for that very informative video.

yes there were wood side supports in this. This guitar was dropped . Don't think that side supports will stop side cracks , they do in minor situations but it won't save it from a drop Cloth supports won't help either. In light tap situations they may help but this was drastic as you can see

If i saw you slide and bump my guitar on a bare table like that i would ask you to stop, get my Martin and leave! You are rough!!

This guitar was sacrificial for the video, as John stated. The purpose is to show how to repair cracks.
