Spot on from Lloyd, players guarding space instead of manning up inside D50 baffles me beyond belief. Gone are the days of responsible defending, now it's a pointing fingers game on which part of the ground each player needs to defend.

Yes, two very good players have been taken out of the equation for the NAB Rising Star award. However, despite your continued commentary about how good these two are, they've fallen fowl of the rules. You have to give some credit to some of the other nominees, like young Roberts from the Swans and the young midfielder from Hawthorn. Stop the continued moaning for unnecessary rule changes.

The Melbourne media never give credit to interstate teams. They have been whining away about the fact that the teams in the opening round have had an extra bye. However, they never complain that they don't have to travel as much as the interstate sides. Sydney has been on top nearly all year, yet they continue to crow about the Victorian teams.

@@rossclout9831 I dont think travel is a big deal these days. Even the Melbourne teams play home games in Tassy or Alice Springs and other random grounds. Interstate teams are the only teams with a real home ground advantage. Melbourne teams all play at the same 2 grounds. The only Vic team with a home ground advantage is Geelong and they are hard to beat at Geelong.
