Blues Rhythms Explained - the I IV V 12 Bar theory 6/8 time Practice Tools. In this lesson we break down and explain the pattern of a 12 bar blues. We also explain major key vs minor key blues notation and take you through a minor key blues progression. We also explain over a jam track and teach blues rhythm playing techniques. If one note per beat is an 1/8th note, and two notes per beat are 1/16th notes, are three notes per beat still triplets in 6/8. And are four notes per beat 1/32nd notes in 6/8 ?

6/8 seems basically the same to me as 4/4 (or maybe 2/4) with a swung triplet rhythm. Am I missing something?

Yeah, you can count it like you mention or I just like to keep the six beats apart as to keep the measures defined.
