Excellent tag response! That first Taste album is so good! My favorite blues is anything from the original Canned Heat band. I have all of their early albums on CD.

I'm slowly picking up albums from the artists that came after the old influential blues artist for which fills up most of my collection. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Hi Randy!! great response and nice to see you doing another "music" tag, there are so many it's albums difficult to keep track. cheers and be well

Thanks Cristian. There are a lot of tags out there. I have been thinking about doing the soul one.

Really great response. That analog production copy of Hoodoo Man blues must sound incredible. I have a 1974 reissue. What a great album it is. I also have that Roy Clark Gatemouth Brown LP. I was surprised how good it is. Well thanks for jumping on board. Let keep the blues alive.

Thanks for providing the tag. I love the sound of the Junior Wells album and maybe one day I can pick up the Analogue Productions one for the Muddy Waters album. Roy and Gatemouth sound like they are having a great time on that record. I do have a lot of old blues but not a lot from the modern era. I need to work on that.

Great response to this tag. I listened to that Bobby Bland record earlier today! I got it on your recommendation - as you noted in the video (well, not me specifically.) I think the Willie Dixon comp you showed looked like a winner too....I'm going to stream that song you suggested by Skip James. Rock on Randy!

Thanks Randy. I'm really glad you picked up that Bobby Bland album. I wish it was more well known. Skip James has one of the most unique voices in the blues. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Blues is my favorite genre. I was glad to see you show that album with Roy Clark. I did a video on him about a year ago and loved that record. New subscriber. I also watched your Jazz tag.

Thanks for the sub. I just subbed your channel and look forward to checking out your videos. I got the Brown/Clark album from a friend of mine when he was downsizing but had recorded a tape from it earlier. It's nice to have the vinyl now.

I never thought I'd see Roy Clark in a blues tag. I think that Ry and Taj album came out in 2022, though I may be wrong. It's amazing that we're able to listen to 100 yr old music like Bessie Smith. Nice job Randy, much better than I'd be able to do on this.

I think that you are right on the Ry and Taj album but it would still be my newest blues recording as I was at first going to use a 2018 album. It is amazing how far back we can listen to music. I'm sure that I have some 78's from even earlier although they are not blues recordings. There is also a soul tag out there that I am thinking about.

This is another tag that would defeat me. Nicely done!

Thanks. I see that there is a prog rock tag out there that I am unsure about tackling.

I was just mentioning Koko Taylor on Young LP Lovers' response to this tag, she might be the only female blues artist in my collection and one I do enjoy. Always wondered about the nickname "Gatemouth", maybe he was loud or could eat a lot lol. Awesome cover on the Showdown LP, very similar to the Freddie King one, wonder if that was intentional. I have Live At Cook County Jail on CD I do think. Found a few of B.B.'s later LP's early in my thrift digging days, I should really revisit those. Nice response, cheers!

I do have some Koko Taylor in the collection but it is all on CD. I need to get more female artists in the collection. I have a similar situation with reggae as I think that the only female artist I have records by is Rita Marley. Freddy King and Johnny Copeland are holding their guitars very similarly in their photos. I do know that his name is usually spelled Freddie but on this album it is spelled Freddy. Supposedly "Gatemouth" got his name for having such a deep voice. B.B. King and Robert Cray may be the only blues artists that I have seen more than once. Thanks for watching.

The way you can do every tag i have to wonder how big that record collection of yours is. I could do this tag but I’d have to use vinyl, cds, and cassettes to do it. That’s way too much work lol. I remember seeing Roy Clark and Clarence Gatemouth Brown together on a PBS soundstage special when I was in Jr High. Great stuff Randy
